  1. What head-deck did you buy? As I know a lot of them these days all have about the same power, around 52w per channel. Its about the max they can squeeze in there. (54w headunits do exist too, slightly rarer.) Generally most shops in their displays run the bigger speakers (6x9s etc) off an amp, I know supercheap does :P.

Now have a Sony head deck, not sure of the model, anyone know of any good places to get the sound system all check out, running four 5 1/4" Sony speakers, and one of the fusion 2 x 12" sub cannon in the boot, installed it myself, probably wasn't the best job done. When changing between songs on a cd it makes a bassy sort of noise (awful explaining i know), any tips would be appreciated, and if any one knows of some one who deals specifically with these on the cheap, would be good to take to..

    Cheers

  2. So guys, booked in for a Cut & Polish for the end of the month.. Hopefully should turn out all well. Will post before and after pictures to show :)

So coming up next is either the manual conversion or some nice subtle wheels for it. Any ideas what wheels would be the go? Keeping in mind that there is a budget of bout $1500 I would like to spend! Cheers for any ideas! BBS replicas are my pick so far!

  3. Don't know if I should be starting a new topic for this, but when I turn my stereo up loudish, the bass cuts out. When I was in the shop testing out the speakers before I bought them, they went a lot louder than what I had it at. Brand new head deck and speakers? If any one could help this would be greatly appreciated!

  4. Where did you get the H&R springs from? How much stiffer does it make the rear end?

From HellBM in Silverdale. Call Ray on 0212435526, he might have some.

In regards to making the rear end more stiffer, it doesn't feel much different to before though it does make a huge difference around corners! Just the right height as well, especially for some used to having a high car!

  5. Hey guys, joined a few months ago! However only just finally sat down and learnt how to drive this site! Currently

drive a 318i 1990 Silver standard auto! Will be upgrading soon to something that I can work on and will hopefully be an awesome ride after modifying it a bit. Great plans for it, but one step at a time! I have a great passion for cars, and I see a lot of mint looking rides on this site! Will be looking to get into the mechanical side real soon, and would like to know if any one has any tips on this? Thanks, and will be looking forward to seeing the Bimmersport members at the future meets!

  6. Am currently located in Glenfield over the shore. I never recieved any service history when I bought it 2 years ago, it's been serviced about 5 times since, from the boys at HellBM. Is there any way to get service history? As I bought it off a relative of mine and never though to ask... <_<
