  1. Is yours an 89 build? Mine is registered as 89 but is actually an 87 build.

Reason I ask if there are two different types of handles (with, surprise surprise, two ever so slightly different fittings) with the latter being used from late 1987. Check out this page

I have an early crank and the cheap MTC crank (The one ECS sells) which I am under the impression has the new fitting, but cant get either of them to fit... When (if) I finally fit it, you can have whichever crank I don't need.

Thanks for your advice! I guess I got lucky with the one I got this evening as works like a charm. Unfortunately I don't think the sunroof is aligned quite right.

  2. Hey guys,

So we've owned the e30 touring for less than a week, and what do you know - I've broken it already.

After a sunroof handle/crank for it

You can get them from ECS Tuning for $13 US, but would rather get it sooner than later.

Does any one have one they are willing to sell?

    Thanks

  3. Damit... new i should have gone and looked it, Any major plans for it?

    Looks so clean!

Saw it on TradeMe a couple of weeks ago, hit buy now on Saturday night unsighted (with a little push from Ray). Didn't want to miss out, and knowing the Mosens group I felt nothing went unhidden.

Definitely have some crazy pipe dreams for it, however in the mean time just want to enjoy it in it's most original form.

First thing we are planning on doing is actually working out a plan!

  4. So it has come to the time to add another addition to our family, to join the rest of the E30s in our driveway.

We bring to you "WAGLAN" - origination from Raglan, and prior belonging to Mosens Europarts (hence the number plate on the pictures).

An immaculate NZ New example, originally was a 320, but has been upgraded to a 325 (Automagic). Next to no rust whatsoever, and even rip free seats! She drives like a dream, and will certainly work well as a service vehicle for the race series.

The stripes aren't original, but were put on by the local paint shop in Hamilton. I actually quite like the look of them. The 14" Basketweaves are also in mint condition. I just can't fault this car.

Eventually more to come, but in the meantime Simon and I will seek enjoyment in driving her on the next road trip.

  5. Hey guys and gals!

I know this isn't car related whatsoever... However! Who loves animals? The little critters we call our best friends?

I'm currently fundraising for Jump for a Cause - a fundraiser for the SPCA. By taking part I am helping the SPCA raise funds to help Auckland's abandoned, injured and abused animals.

Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated, and if I raise over $880 I get to skydive for free.

So what are you waiting for?

    Please jump to:

And help our best furry friends.

    Thank you!

But thinking of changing the painted gold centre to the colour on this....

Also, looking at getting the lips polished again.

What is every one's opinions? I think this will change the entire look of the car.

    Cheers

  7. I dunno how many times "Use Tinypic or imageshack" to upload your pictures then link them to the forum has come up in threads.. You don't NEED to use the forums uploader.

That's what I've started to do myself, except some of us are new to that.

  8. On the E30 there is two holes in the rear panel that go between the boot and rear cabin that are either side of the where the arm rest is. I'd be inclined to put some bolts through those holes to a couple of brackets and screw the brackets into the rear of the sub.

I ran a IB ski pass sub on my E30 using bolts to anchor. Made for a very solid mounting.

The amp can be mounted on the sub box. As to life of amp it shouldn't be a problem unless its getting severe vibration from enclosure which in turn mechanically shakes the c**p out of the amp.

    Pick of rear panel here

Thanks for that, I will have a look this weekend and see how I get on. Your picture doesn't seem to be working however?

If it saves me $60 then I am happy
