  1. Ok. I've got the following deposits. Me Gus Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe bumpstop325 CiLK WuRM ///Dave I'll put the order in now. Should have them soon. I'll keep you all informed. Glenn Update: Orders placed, deposits are now NON-refundable.
  2. Sweet Andrew, Discount should be no problem. Update on price. $390 incl shipping, hopefully the losers at customs won't charge us the GST ($440ea if they do, which is still less than full price not incl shipping & GST if you were to do a 1 off order, not bad!!) They will be sent air freight, 2-3 days to get the order together, 6 days to get here. So we should be able to install them before the summer cruise, get your tools ready!! Order goes in tomorrow!! So if you want them get you deposit in tonight!! We have: Me Gus Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe bumpstop325 CiLK WuRM ///Dave Waiting on: TUMEKI
  3. Alrighty then. I did mean this wednesday the 10th as we have most peoples deposits already so it should be all good. Thanks people. We have: Me Gus Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe bumpstop325 Waiting on: CiLK WuRM TUMEKI What about ///Dave, are you still in?? MSBOND: you should have checked the for sale section, I have a brand new fan clutch that I didn't use before the old engine died. O'well. CiLK WuRM: if andrew can vouch that you will pay the deposit we can include your order anyway.
  4. Thanks for all the prompt replys guys. I'll check the Accn. on monday and tick you all off. I'm getting an estimate on the air/sea time/freight costs etc... So we can have a better Idea of what we are up for when the time comes. Hopefully this all goes well, as I'm sure there are alot of other things we need that buying in bulk will be beneficial. Glenn
  5. Here is the deal people. It has been decide that Gus won't bring back the goods for the following reasons: 1. His baggage is already over weight. 2. He should not have to be responsible for $3000 worth of urethane. 3. I would hate to kill him if he lost them as it will be on my Visa. 4. By the time we all get our sh*t together Gus will be home!! So what happens now: Well, I have opened an account at the National Bank. The account name is "Bimmersport NZ" The account number is 06-0507-0034832-00 Can those who have put their names down please transfer the $150 deposit. I will put in our order next wednesday based on the numbers that have made their deposit. Remember for us to get the 20% discount we are relying on all those who have put their names down, which are as follows: Me Andrew ///dave tHrEEtWoFiVe CiLK WuRM Gus MSBOND bumpstop325 TUMEKI
  6. I will advise of the payment details, cut-off dates etc... tomorrow.

Find a better muffler!! Can't wait to do the bushes!! Then the E36 suspension conversion in the new year!!
  8. TUMEKI: There is still time to get in on the group buy. Just need the $150 deposit at the moment. Double check you have a E30 not a E21 being a '83 323i, don't mean to be insulting just pays to be sure. GUS: Just tell the customs gimps they are for you and only cost $40 (not $3000) and they shouldn't worry about the tax issues, I'll talk to you later anyway. General: I'll go to the bank this arvo and setup an accn. I will post the detail later today. If we can get all the deposits in by monday at the latest that would be good. Can those of you that are in contact with other members that have put their names down please alert them to the updates in this post. Thanks guy & gals Glenn

The muffler is miles away from the ground, it is just the pipe that is low. Here are some pic's:
  10. Allrighty then!! I've heard back from the supplier, I got the 20% discount and free shipping in the UK (GUS PM me you addy etc...). So the price is $360 (might be a bit more depending on the dollar at the time etc...) I'll probably make the payment for all of them on my Visa. There is just the issue of the deposit. I don't mind opening an account for this, I think this will be the easiest/quickest way. If the majority is happy with this then this is how we will do it. GUS will (hopefully, please, thank you) bring them back when he returns to NZ on the 12th so we will have them in under 2 weeks, yay. Here is the list of those who put there name forward: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe ///dave CiLK WuRM bumpstop325 MSBOND Gus

Well, I spent saturday building a 3" exhaust for the 323ti. I bought 2 mufflers hoping I could fit one in the tranny tunnel, yeah right!! So it has 1 muffler at the back and it is a bit loud, louder than I like. But F*%K does it sound awesome when you rev it out, it also has heaps more topend power, got to 200k heaps quicker than before. It isn't too low either, 90mm ground clearance (which is legal as the exhaust is a flexible component), it had 100mm before. I imagine it will scrape a bit though!! I'll get some pics or a vidi soon.
  12. Hopefully less than that!! Will confirm ASAP.
  13. Cool, I have no Idea where it is!! I'd just get them couriered to your hotel. I'll let you know what they say. I imagine a box the size of a PC. "...would def go into exces baggage pretty much no matter how heavy it is......trolleys at the airport...aint no trolleys on the tube =)....." They aren't fragile so you could tape the box to your suitcase if you're keen. I'll PM you the nitty gritty stuff when costs are sorted and everyone pays their deposits etc... enjoy your holiday.
  14. What dates are you in the UK?? I've have sent an email and I'm waiting for a reply, I'll ask what the deal is with the VAT tax, how big the box is, weight etc... when I get a reply. "...and dont exactly have that many arms...." That is why there are trolleys at the airport!!
  15. MSBOND: The bushes are the same for all E30 models, you might want 2 sets anyway by the sound of it. Gus: Primo on spain, pitty you not in the UK as you could pick the group buy up. Prolly end up costing the same as you would have to pay the VAT & prolly overweight baggage too. I'd expect the car to feel like new again, nice firm bushes not slopping around, just nice and tight. Cornering loads will also depend on your tyres, shocks & springs etc..., not just the bushes. Andrew, can you drop me a PM about this paypal thingy, how it works etc... and when you are coming to get your stuff, the 240z arrives in 2wks & I need space. Confirmed: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe ///dave CiLK WuRM bumpstop325 MSBOND Gus nag list: MSBOND (2nd set)
  16. MSBOND: In NZ you can not get them. Other than the OE rubber ones. A place called autoline can make them but it will cost as they machine them out of solid nolathane one at a time, and you need to provide the original for them to copy (ie, your car will be off the road while they do it). At this stage a $150 deposit is all that is requied (once I can confirm the price). I suggested a club bank accn. (only accesable by andrew say) because I thought that was less dodgy than saying put $150 in my bank accn. muuwwwaahhahahaha. Balance required on delivery. yay or nay.
  17. updated lists: Confirmed: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe ///dave CiLK WuRM bumpstop325 nag list: gus bumpstop325: I won't be doing the eccentric trailing arm bushes because of some information I read about them being able to slip and change the geometry and they are meant to be pricks to adjust when doing a wheel alignment. I will be modifying the rear subframe while it is out and adding proper toe & camber adjusters as per these instructions gus: where are you?? electronic tranfer the $$$, just need the deposit when I know how much we can get them for.
  18. CiLK WuRM: Sweet. updated lists: Confirmed: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe ///dave CiLK WuRM Nag list: MS BOND E30 318i Grant any one else with an E30!?!?!
  19. updated lists: Confirmed: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe ///dave Nag list: MS BOND E30 318i Grant any one else with an E30!?!?! CiLK WuRM: At this stage the group buy is for the E30 chassis because of the discount of a bulk order, I can order you E36 bushes but they prolly won't be at a 20% discount (unless the guy is in a good mood). Ollie: All good, taken you off the nag list.
  20. Good O' So we have: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe ///dave Come on you E30 guys & gals I know there is a few more of you. E30 318i MS BOND ollie Andrew, is there a club bank accn. poeple can put a deposit into!?!?!?! How does this sound. Confirmation cut off is Friday 28th November. I will get a more accurate price (based on those who confirm) and approx. arrival date etc... $150 deposit into the club bank accn. by the Friday 5th December. I'll place the order on monday 8th. Hopefully they will arrive before the summer cruise/meet. Balance to be paid on delivery, possibly at the meet.
  21. The Bushes in our E30's are rubber from the factory, most will be 15-20yrs old and getting rather tired, I know mine are. Most of you probably think your E30 is meant to handle how it does but chances are you've only owned it for the last few years so the bushes may not have got any worse, so you think it is normal. I'll go through each bush and let you know what effects the worn bushes have on the suspension/handling. Rear control arm bushes: These are one of 2 parts that stop the front wheel from moving back and forward in the wheel arch, (the other is the ball joint to the sub frame, non serviceable). When these are worn under hard braking the wheel(and suspension) can move back which changes, Toe, castor & camber. Such changes during braking &/or cornering will cause undesirable handling and tyre wear. The urethane bushes greatly reduce the movement and since they are the offset bushes (as per E30 M3's) they increase the castor making the car turn-in and at high speed alot more stable. Rear subframe bushes: There are 2 of these, one on either side or the car just in front of the rear wheel arch. The whole rear suspension mounts off the rear subframe which is held in place by these 2 rubber mounts. Not much to say here other than when they are "tired" it allows the whole rear suspension geometry to change = very bad for handling. My E30 is an extreme case amplified the the amount of HP I have, but when I accelerate in a straight line the torque transmitted to the wheels twists the subframe on its mounts and you end up vering across the road, turn in at any speed feels dodgy as the backend wants to go straight ahead. Trailing arm bushes: There are 4 mounting points for the 2 trailing arms. These mount to the rear subframe. When the bushes are worn the suspension geometry can change quite alot while hard cornering, more toe out & positive camber are the effects of this which reduce traction make the car unpredictable. Combine these with worn subframe mounts and you have a real handful to drive well. Hope that helps guys. The more poeple that want the kit the better. If we can get all the names soon I can get the order in early Dec and hopefully have them to you at the Summer cruise, if not before. So we have: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe ollie? ///dave?
  22. Alrighty then. Here it is, the standard price for the kit is $450 + Shipping. If we get more than 5 people there is a 20% discount, bringing it down to $360 + Shipping. Whether we have to pay GST on that when it comes into NZ is a little unknown as I have never paid GST on anything I have ever brought from overseas!?!?! The kit includes: 2x Eccentric control arm bushes (M3) 2x Rear subframe mounts 4x Rear trailing arm bushes These are all Urethane mounts that replace the stock rubber ones. I haven't included for any sway bar mounts as they can be sourced locally and some people may be running bigger bars than stock. Who wants them then: Me Andrew tHrEEtWoFiVe?? 2-3 more, come on you know you want them!!!!
  23. The E30 is a very '80s looking car and needs '80s looking wheels to look it's best. At least something with a lip on the rim, a dished rim looks even better. They may look a little "Hubcap" like with not much depth to them. Your call. Mine are for sale after the meet in jan. 16x7's
  24. I'm on to it boyz & girlz. I'll let you know how I get on.
