The tinking sound is just the cat cooling down. They get extremly hot and hold there temprature for a long time after evrythings been turned off, esp when youve been driving it hard. But i couldt tell you if its on its way out sory.

And to answer the orriginal Question, i have a k&n in my 325i and i havnt noticed a diffrence in sound at all. If you do want more intake sound youll have to open the intake system up. Andrews looks like its done right. But if your not botherd about loosing a little bit of power for a bit of noise just take the air box out and put a pod filter in place. Most people wouldnt like the idea of loosing power, but powers not about everything!!

Add that to the pile of crap. Altho if it was 5 bucks id buy it for a laugh!

Does yourcar have a brake light out warning light thing?? Or any other warning light for blowen bulbs? If so it can be a little harder than normal

If this one im looking at dosnt turn out ill definatly be keeping an eye out for the older model. Impeller dragging. A scarping tinny noise im guessing? And im taking a compression tester with me also.
