Yeah from what I've been told it is the same head - and the engine actually runs really nicely, puts out some pretty good power for a 1.6 - be selling it soon anyway so will find out what the market is soon enough Thanks

Hey Guys, Some of you might remember about 3ish months ago I bought these for my E30 - They're mint wheels, look really awesome on the car - they're setup with the right offset and all for the E30 - and the tyres almost still have the little rubber thingies on them that come with new tyres. They are in completely immaculate conditon, no curbing, no scuffs, nothing - i've kept these babies very clean. I bought these for $2500 inc. tyres (they have Nankams or something at the moment, fairly budget but they still hold the road). I'm selling these because I am about to start a project to repower my E30, which will include a 5 stud conversion (thus rendering those wheels useless!) - and I could use the cash. I would also appreciate a swap if you're going from standards - in exchange for a good price The Kyalami's come in 2 types - Chrome and Silver - These are silver (as the only thing chrome on an E30 should be its trim, and bumper!) Although the picture is in chrome (from hyper's website). PM me if you're interested Really dont want to sell these bad boys! I'm also selling my 50" Plasma to help fund if anyone is keen? Haha. Thanks Andy - I've asked him if its genuine bmw white or painted - looks a bit painted heh. Definately dont like the white trims though, fortunately mine are brand new. And yep i'm back - with big plans for the poor crippled E30

Hi, Looking for a front right quarter pannel in white for the E30 - I have a facelift, but I know the pre f/l fits it just doesnt have the hole for the indicator (well, some dont..). I have a green one currently that I cant be bothered repainting. I also require a non bent white valance - I have a white one currently that I bought to replace my crashed one, but it's just as bad (stupid purchases ). I also want a white top front bumper - I know these are really hard to find, but I have a black one in perfect condition i'm willing to swap with some $$ if anyone was looking for a black one. Please dont tell me you have ones in different colours as I only want white so I dont have to repaint! Thanks

Well after opening the cluster I found the issue with the tacho - the smaller top cog in the cluster had broken off...and all the cogs in there were like wax...i could squash them with my fingers just by touching them. So I have swapped that out with another cluster, and I still dont have speed. I also cannot find the earth point behind the cluster...the loom just runs into oblivion. Bleh!

Hey guys, my speedo isnt working along with my tacho. Any ideas? I tried a completely different cluster and has the same issues. I'm opening it up now just to check the SI but it sounds like its at the other end - where does the car get its speed readings from? FYI This happened after a nasty impact on my front right. Thanks

Lmao cost was never an issue... I'm just about to purchase Will's white 318 which is a spitting image of my car in 2 door form with a sunroof. I'll be swapping over the parts when the car arrives next week, and making that baby look hot, then ditching the 4 door. Thanks for the input guys

Had the exact same thing man, sucks so bad. I parked my car on the road for ONE day and it got broken into...all they did was rip open the covers around the igintion...nothing else...didnt take the $8k worth of audio from the boot, or anything. Fu*kers.

You should double check the AFM...I had issues with mine doing somethign similar, along with reduced power, and bad fuel consumption, and white smoke when accelerating hard - switched over to a different AFM and all problems instantly resolved, even though my old one looked perfectly fine. I'd suggest trying that... Also before I crashed my car, I bought a brand new fuel pump and filter from BMW - that changed my start time from 5 - 6 cranks to 1 - 2 from cold. Could be something similar?

Thanks for the replies guys, I went out and investigated it again last night, and I could not see any other damage to the chassis rails, any other buckling or flaked paint from warping. I jacked the car right up and took a good look, and couldnt spot a thing. I'm no expert, though, so I could have overlooked. I think i'll get it checked out by a professional - does anyone know a mobile mechanic that could take a look at this sort of thing? Car is a bastard to move...thing weighs a ton and isnt drivable at the moment. I have been considering just getting another E30, but the hassle involved in parting out the car is something I just cant deal with at the moment - just gone though a rather lengthy breakup and lost a bit of stuff, and im in the middle of trying to buy a house among the stresses of the new position at work. I'd rather just pay someone to fix it, or tell me it cant be fixed and just sell it. The reason I dont really want to go to a 6 cyl is the gas - that car takes me to Kerikeri and back on half a tank of gas, with enough for 3 - 4 days of around town driving. I also dont want to be ripped off with higher than normal mechanic costs because its a BMW - I'd prefer to pay someone a few hundy and a box of beers to throw some new parts on it for me. Anyway, i'm in the market for another E30 now I suppose, I would prefer that colour as I love that white, and all the bits on it are white..but if anyone spots a stocker that would look mint with those wheels / skirts / spoiler / front lip / lowering kit, let me know! Thanks

No insurance, only 3rd party - Dont care though, I want to know if its physically possible to fix or will require too much work...but if its just pannels and bumpers and paint I dont care.

OK Cool. Just as a note, Reverse and 5th gear work perfectly...and they're on the same line. But I dont know what it looks like down there, so no idea heh.

Door...

Drivers side door and pannel damage...the door bent when i opened it to get out the pannel that was pushed in behind the hinge and bent the door a bit...can see a bit better in the next pic
