  1. I'd have to re-watch the video too but off the top of my head - didn't reprogram the DSC for the new diff, should of used M3 or better RSMs, better subframe and maybe rtabs for track car, subframe inspection/reinforcement appeared to a bit lacking, did he do strut tower and shocks tower plates?

Bending the subframe trying to push out new bushings made me laugh. Heating them and knocking them out is by far the best method.

Big open road drives I can see the value. But not sure from the comments above if  they are worth it ?

Just added security really but speeding tickets are mostly just luck in my experience. I had zero demerit points from nearly 3 years then i had 55 in a couple of months.

Most of my tickets are from going slightly over the limit especially after passing, it may of saved me from that but as above its situational dependent. Value for money its far better value than most tech devices given it still performs its job for a long time without being obsolete.

  3. Im still using my R3 with custom firmware from the NZ guy in RD forums. Only problem it doesnt go low enough in the K band range to pickup speed camera vans reliably, otherwise not really far behind the top of the line models on Ka band.

Paid about $400 landed at the time when it was a new model so good bang for buck i think compared the newer stuff.

even if all you're doing are minor modifications, once you go for cert the car is then considered a modified vehicle

Yep waste of time and money for what you have done. Insurance purposes are the only good reason to have it that i can think of.

Yeah it's pretty stupid ey. Took me a while to put 2 & 2 together but if the bolts start to protrude at 6 turns in then even with longer bolts you won't get more than 6 turns of thread engagement. OE hubs so this is how it would have rolled out of the factory. Good enough for BMW but not for cert, apparently.

But I'll keep my mouth shut on that one.

Maybe there is slight variance between E46 and E90 hub and\or wheel face thickness. Least you can just chuck the old bolts back on after cert and call it a day.

  6. Adding rear toe\camber adjustment plates to subframe, front bump steer spacers (if lowered), replacing all suspension bushings, then finding the right springs and dampers to suit you requirements would be most of it.

Maybe a specialist can help with that last one, but these are old cars with limited product selection these days so finding someone with specific E34 setup knowledge and getting parts isnt easy as it once was.

Weird that. Will see how I go. Called them up after collecting the car today, told the fella the situation, he gave me his name, told me to come round the back when I'm there and he'd help find what works. Fingers crossed.

Cheers, will give it a go if the above doesn't work out ✌️

Ive got some cheap extended ones for 15mm spacers if you want to cut them down to whatever.

I was lucky - I've had Covid once. Some folk I know have had it 2 or 3 times.

I was laid flat, sleeping, for one day. Every day after that I felt noticeably better, back to whatever passes for normal after 5 days.

As Jon said - seems to be on a return. And seems to be worse for those who are getting it this time.

Yeah that's pretty much me the first time - 1.5 day of no energy then mostly fine. This time (if it was covid) was flu symptoms for nearly 1 week, the first 3 days being the worst. Now after 2 weeks still feel like i have impaired lungs.

  9. I dont see anyone buying it for 40k either but at least there is some merit to the pricing, not your typical buy\hold\sell or heavily aesthetics bias owners like most of these overpriced listings. Unless he's failed to mention it im surprised he didnt do the subframe\trailing arm bushings and adjusters, go to be the most under rated E30 mod ever.

  10. Indeed. By my rough calculations you are looking around $700 incl shipping for front struts, rear shocks with bump stops\boots and mounts. Not too bad if you can do the work yourself. If you start adding suspension arms, links, bushings etc then it usually ramps up cost to varying degrees depending on the vehicle.
