Hmm I like the blacked out look Mike.

I think I'm gonna do this to mine after I paint it. My chrome looks like sh*t anyway. Got scratch's and sh*t ....

What colour are you going to paint it?

It should look better when i get some weaves and paint them charcoal or black, and when i get round to geting rid of the chrome on the bumpers.

Can you buy wider electrical tape that could mask the chrome on the bumpers?

The electrical tape is all temporary until I get confident enough to actually paint parts of my car.

solved the problem of chrome on the trim. Not to keen to paint bumpers though, at least with the tape i can just pull it off.

If I had the money i would be so keen to buy that.

I like the tail lights. I would prefer not to put chromies on but hey its not my car...

I thaught about painting the trim and bumpers but i will leave them for now just in case i change my mind.

The wing mirrors definatly need to be repainted though.

I like the chrome but I'm kind of going for a more black look, I will be blackening the kidneys, blackening tail lights, side repeaters and front indicators also when i can afford some mags i will most probably go for some black or charcoal wheels maybe with a polished lip.

The good thing about the electrical tape is if i don't like it any more or want the chrome back it just peels off.

I was home alone today and bored so I decided to go into whangarei buy some black electrical tape...

...Young males and cars are the worst possible combination imaginable. They all 'know' they're great drivers (still laughing) and they all 'know' that the only way to drive a BMW is foot flat to the floor at all time...

The only reason I drive foot flat on the floor at all time is because i drive an E30 318i, so having my foot flat down is probably the equivalent of a 325i just touching the accelerator. I'm not a boy racer I just like trying to get to 100 as quick as the little 1.8l can get there.

I'm going to hijack this thread too because i also need one.

I geuss i was pretty lucky with my Dad, he found the 1987 318i for me on trademe rang the lady who owned it then took us down to hamilton (from whangarei) to have a look at it, then paid for all of it (I paid him back half as i got the money) and we drove it home and he didn't even know anything about BMWs at all (he drives a ford).

Like MrHamWallet Said there is dozens of them in whangarei. That one with the cut jamex springs and 19" chromies used to roll on bumpstops and bottlecaps, actually looked better IMO.

Nice car, I will be keeping an eye out round whangarei for it.

I've been down on that road a few times also, In my Dads XR6turbo, nice roads, very fun.

just found it today. Has normal line, acceleration line and scenery line but the best part is the eraser tool.

I have found a way to solve this problem and improve my sound system, I will buy a 4 channel amp and run all the speakers off the RCA outputs as my CD player has seperate outputs for Sub, front speakers and rear speakers.

Problem solved.
