  1. Hi i had my car serviced and was given a list of things that are not urgent but as I get the money I will get them fixed.

I would like to know what can be done by me (16 year old noob).

Also how much have others had to spend to get these things fixed..

    Written as on technicians report....

    -Needs reaction rod bushes.

    -P/steering hose weaping.

    -Recomend fuel return hose.

    -Recomend brake fluid flush (dirty).

    -Needs alternator bushes (collapsed).

    -Recomend P/steering fluid flush (burnt).

-Recomend all belts (starting to crack).

    -Shift oil mounts need tightening.

i would have my doubts about that stuff. to me it would make it easier to break into the car. break the glass with a window tapper then cut the tint with a razor.... pull the whole window out. but i guess it would stop your average opportunist theif

I'm sure i saw this on TV, the film just makes the job tidier for thieves. I think they also said it was quieter to break into.

Mikal are you at a Boys High or a co-ed school? I'm going to have to watch that but from almost every window in my school I could see my car parked right outside.Would girls break into a car? (I go to an all girls school) but yeah mofos walking past could smash and grab gargh

I dont think it matters in Whangarei if it's a boys or girls (mine is a mix) we have some pretty dodgey girls roaming the grounds lol.

I usually park my car in the teachers car park as it is out of bounds to students. Only none of my classes has windows facing the car park. :(

  4. My old neighbour installed the head deck he is a mechanic but had installed a few head decks. I'm still a little bit of a noob with car audio sorry what is HU?.

The rear speakers still use old wires but the front speakers are all new wires

id take out ur headunit and put speakers right onto the back of it

All the wires (power, ground, speakers...)go into one plug into the head deck. the RCA input/outputs for the amp/sub are seperate from this.

The head deck is a Pioneer DEH-P5750MP if that helps.

  5. The other day i was driving with the radio on not even loud and the sound music from the front and rear speakers started to cut out. I thaught it was just bad reception until i noticed the sub was still going as normal. Sometimes when i start the car i have music from the front and rear but then it cuts out after a bit of driving and i'm left with just bass from the sub?

Any ideas on how to fix?

  6. I also went to get full insurance for my E30 318i on my parents car/house insurance company and it was going to cost around $1200 a year so at the moment i just have third party fire and theft. I figured this was best as after two and a half years what i would have paid in insurance could have paid for another E30.

  7. Dad paid half for my e30. I paid for every thing else...

My mates dad has paid for his last three cars and just got him the same kind as me, his was way tidier than mine when he got it now its a mess, never been washed, bald tires...

Don't know if you can tell the difference in this pic but here is his car and mine.
