How bout a Nissan Maxima or Toyota Camry or similar - the mid to late 90s versions of these are pretty cheap, packed with features - electrics and air con etc and V6s that can make them snot along at the same time as being surprising good on gas. I would personally say get a Cefiro or Laurel for under a grand and then spend the remaining bling on chucking a RB25DET into it - that way they got a reliable car and you can flog it for track days, drift meets and burnout competitons - and bugger the fuel economy!!! :mosh: :mosh: :mosh:

Yar - happy birthday man, hope you get a track day and a drinking day to celebrate it!
-
Haha my nana has heaps of these - they are stuck onto the baseboards around her house - to stop the door handle from going thru the wall if someone slams it open! Seriously, I dont think I would bother with that sort of thing - I mean, if you dont want to use the full travel on your clutch, just dont push it in as far...

Yeah Thats the shizz!! However, even if it had twin airbags and was RHD it still wouldnt be able to be imported - E34s are not compliant at all - someone was wrecking 1 not so long ago - I think it was a 96 with dual airbags. It sucks anyway, cos I have taken a real shine to the E34s since I got my E36. On the topic of wheels off trademe - I scored 4 factory E36 15s with warrantable tyres for $30 - lets just say that the tyres are no longer warrantable!!! - Last weekend was A LOT of fun!!!
-
Yeah I can attest to that - and they slide pretty hard too - 3 up and still managing opposite lock drifts....
-
f**king insane. Theres a guy around the bay who has a mini, and he is in the process of putting a 12a into it. Its got a subaru rear end for rear wheel drive styles. Imagine that thing stepping out - snappy as! Ill find out some details - hes a mate of a mate. If I can get photos you guys will definitly know all about it.

No sh*t! Sorry to see that a bro, thats bloody rank. I almost did that to an E34 535 yesterday - pulled out in front of me in a 100k zone. The ole Camry locked (temporarily) up to miss him. It was a Silly Old Man In A Hat... Ill come for a drive next week and shout u a beer and a "relaxant"... you know the stuff I mean... :mosh:

Better yet, A lexus quad cam V8 and a supra 5 speed up its ass - that would snot, look pimp, sound pimp and would be just down right badass.
-
hey bro, really late happy birthday - I cant access the net during the week. Ill come up to aux sometime during next week for the blaze up thats called for! :mosh:

You mischief bugger! Thats quite a styley burnout man - should have hooked a doughie and then lurked off up the track going sideways!!!
-
that sums it up perfectly! However, this would also suffice...

Yeah - thats a good excuse - yeah right! Seriously, I had been travelling at the speed limit, because until Atamuri (that place halfway between Taupo and Toke) the roads had been wet as - so when I was on the passinglane and saw I could take all the trucks, I gassed it. Wrong move... It honestly was the first time I got above 110 that trip (actually the only time - when they let me go I sat on like 95 the rest of the way!)Far out - that kid should have been stopped before he could do that - if he had even told his parents that he would die in a crash caused by his speed, then surely the parents and the police could have found some way to forbid him from driving....

Well, its been a loyal car, but it is time to sell. The dirty old beast has been almost everywhere (Auckland - Wellington and most places in between) Speedo says 306Km, but take that with a grain of salt... Runs exceptionally well for a car that has done that many Ks. Basically, it is a 1800 single cam, non turbo, 5 speed rear wheel drive bucket of fun. In the time I have had it, it has never had anything mechanical go wrong (starter motor has had a relay added to give it a bit more juice - will need a new brush kit in the future). The car has been sitting for 4 months - WOF expired in November, and it needed a few things, so I just bought a Hilux ute instead - utes are better. For its wof, it will need a front windscreen, left rear hub seal replaced, exhaust to be re-hung, and a few other minor things. The battery is about 6 - 8 months old. I just put it back in on Friday and it started first try. There is currently a Coby Exhaust on the back - I can supply the original muffler if required - coby made a noticeable difference tho (both volume and letting it run un-restricted) Uses a bit of oil, but otherwise its fine (doesnt overheat etc) the tyres on it at the moment are pretty worn - I had 15inch Laurel wheels on it when I took it off the road - But those have since been put to use as drift rims for my younger brothers 200sx. Rego is on hold, about 100km left on Road user charges. looking for about $200 or somthing a, just need to get rid of it really - parents dont want me to leave it at home when I move. I was wanting to use it as a BOS car - it would definitly do well! Ill post some more current pics tomorrow if I can be assed. (The front side markers are not on there - long story) :mosh: FEEL THE POWER! You wont want to drive your BMW ever again! Let me know if you want further details - could probably even cut a deal on delivery to somewhere (Im between Pukekohe and Napier alot, make me a deal!) Because of work, I wont be able to reply to this during the week, but if needs must, I can be reached on 027 253 0301 :jap:

Yeah I know - I am trying to keep the speed to the limit, but its hard sometimes.... Everybody has exceeded the speed limit sometime - IMO it would be impossible not to have, in some circumstance or other...

what is "water wetter" - it comes with the delete kit.... I thought water was already wet?

So this would be a relativly simple brake upgrade then? I dont think Ill be doing it for a while - Ive just done new front shocks and brakes in my 325 too. Havent had time to go back to the mechanics and pay up - hes a good prick like that! EDIT: Would obviously need the E46 calipers etc too eh!
-
FARK You never said anything about having a blow torch like that - imagine how quickly that would heat the knives up!!! Can I have it? :mosh:

Ah, you seem to forget that you are in the minority on Bimmersport - there are WAY more males than females here, so I vote the tits stay! After all, whats the internet for if not pornography!!Back on topic - that was a very nice looking Edirty bro, damn shame it got stolen - did the insurance company give you the option of getting it back on the road - it looks pretty straight in those photos...

Well, my brother with another mother, wonder no more, for I am currently sitting on 90 points...I got slammed hard by the local 5-0 in Puta-ruru at 5am doing a horrendous speed. I kissed a lot of arse and finally got a ticket for 149km/h... I consider myself extremely lucky, and it has really toned my driving down. However, the only reason I was doing 185km/h in the first place was because I was blazing down the passing lane trying to get ahead of 3 trucks. The cops were at the end of it and I just drove right on into their trap... Damn, oh well, you live and you learn eh - my lesson was to start travelling late at night and drive mellow - everytime I start to find my speed creeping up, I stop for a while - go spotting up random side roads and rest areas etc... My only other speeding ticket, (2 years ago in May) was funnily enough in the slowest car I have ever owned or driven! A single cam non turbo diesel wagon and I got done for 132! I honestly did deserve that too - There was no other reason for doing that sort of speed... I honestly try to keep to the speed limit, its just sometimes, as stated earlier in this thread, indiscretions happen, and people get caught. At least they didnt catch me hooking doughies or doing a mean drift or somthing... (Not that I do that!!!)
-
shiiiittt - I didnt realise that it was that good!!!Nah, all good bro, glad to help - it was a crack up anyway - all those trucks just going about their business whilst 2 random low BMWs were just lurkin in the shadows.... Yeah Cam, get us pics of this beast playing dead!!!

Bloody Stoners.... Did my efforts at like midnight last night see you right bro? Haha I had a great drive home after I left you - wet as hell, sideways as hell. Still, you did well to clean the trailer up like that!!! :mosh:
