  3. yea i dont see why you couldnt get it from BMW? isnt that their stock diagram anyway? it might even be cheaper than a face lift one...

    Hey!

msbonds right... its good to see people doing something different and looks like youve done it well too, never mind about its "boat like" charateristics... go the s.s. 7 series!

  8. standard 1989 four spoke steering wheel towbar w/ mounting parts bolts etc original BMW 1989 cassette stereo all cheap. maybe even free...

    Bodykits

an M325 and a top condition M3? thats a fair wack of price difference. there was a e30 m3 forsale in the BMWCC magazine for 50 large. (okay so that was a 2.5 evo sport, one of 600 made...)but still, an M325i maybe $15,000, at the most, top condition M3, $30,000 at the least...
  10. lol at the lsd frenzy... hey do you have a front passenger side fog light? face lift only tho... and if its a face lift do you have the front plastic trim from below the fogs? and a gearknob - manual. and the heater core, if its non a/c and.... thats about it for now. personal message me if you can help...
  11. hey does any one have a 5 speed gear knob for my 89? gus reckons there pretty cheap from BMW, but i know ill end walking out of there with some super expensive illuminated msport or something. actually that would be quite cool. anyway i digress. my gear knob has a crack at the base and slips off randomly, esp when your trying to look cool and drive fast... what a dick... seriously tho, it does come off if your shifting with a bit of force though and it sucks ass. anyone got a free or super cheap good nick gear knob? one that stays on the stick?
  12. my mechanic said he was selling his 16' Ac's so naturally i sh*t my self, quickly drove home and changed my undies, drove back and told him id buy them then and there. he looked at me and was all like buy what? THE WHEELS! I'LL BUY THEM! now he dosent laugh all that often, but he pissed himself laughing at me. turns out it was just the tyres and i had the wrong end the stick. good luck my friend. good luck.
  13. not wanting to sound like im jumping on the "polish dave and andys nuts" bandwagon here, but i think everyone here owes you for what youve done for this site, so again, thanks heaps. it would be a shame to not have meets etc, cause its good to put a face to the names, get togther and share a common intrest. the majority of people seem to be good people, and regardless, opinons will always clash but most seem to have the maturity to not get stupid, nasty and ignorant. and if they dont have that maturity. f**k em, they can find another forum to post crap on. big ups to the bimmersport crew.
  14. people who dont drive beemers love to tell you how expensive they are to maintain. i dont know why but they just do. in all honesty the last car i had before my 325 was a mazda familia, 92, and it was more expensive to keep. its only the genuine BMW parts that are expensive. (re: gearbox... ) and service isnt all that different from japanese cars. even if you think you cant spend that long looking, every minute and dollar you spend finding the right car will save you untold cash and heartache in the future. if you find something you like make sure you have it well checked. take it to a specialist. if ur on the shore their are a few really good BMW specialists. they know exactly what to look for. dont use the AA. the AA are for elderly ladies buying toyota corollas. you should come to the meet on the 28th and you can get a pretty good idea of whats out there, bimmerwise.
  15. how much fun could you have in that!?
  16. sick alfa. sounds like a whole lotta fun. that 155 was the "quiet acheiver" of gran turismo 2 (along with the lancia delta intergrale evo). back in the day your friends would laugh in two player mode when you chose the only car in your garage without a "stage four" turbo. then pack a sad when you owned them. ahh memories. ahh f**k it, im off to video ezy to hire a ps1 and relieve my lost youth...
  17. oh god im regretting having the m badge on the back of my 325 now... but its been on for a few owners and if i took it off the paint would prob be all discoloured n sh*t. dont judge me..... i would like to point out that there are worse things to do than putting m badges on non mspec cars.... gullwing doors people! seriously though, look at all those little kids with eyesore rusty old sh*t box 316s with homemade body kits and bigbores and chromes worth more than twice the car.... p.s. ive even seen an old vr4 with an m badge.... some people..
  18. okay to end all confusion. this is the 318is front valance. not how much more aggressive it looks, and the cool little lower parts on the sides. it is for face lifts only (nothing pre 88) it retails at around $350 from BMW. the diagram above is only for pre 88, and wouldnt fit a facelift.
  19. sigh. whishing i had before photos...
  20. dont want to sound like old mr negative but reading this thread is like the story of my life. about a year ish ago i started getting the same intermitant start up problem. it has been getting gradually worse and ive been to jerry clayton, 2 bmw specialists (that i left my car with for like two weeks, to fully experience the problem) and mah mate (a toyota mechanic) and ive come across pretty much everything metioned in this thread and nothing has helped. the best so far has been replacing the fuel and ignition relays, but this certainly hasnt cleared up the problem. ive been told if i really want a perfect startup and idle, theyd wanna take the top off, and then it might as well be time for a rebuild while their in there.... at 170,000 kms. gay. like you this is more of a nusace than anything, but now on most mornings it does sound like theres a dirty little rotary under the bonnet and it runs soo rich that it smells like an out board motor or something. not to mention embarrasing smoke from unburnt gas. this is still slowly getting worse, so if you find a miricle cure, sent it my way.....

    My Lunch

i dont know what worries me more.. that youd post your lunch or that you'd do it twice.... a strange boy...
  22. whos seen "cannonball run" that was a burt reynolds classic if ever there was one... how were the chicks in the lambo? pure eighties at its absolute best.
  23. if you live in the bays, hussle on down to browns bay video ezy and rent "getaway in stockholm" 1 porsche 911 turbo "mildly modified" + 1 ford escort cosworth (450hp) + 1 toyota supra (600hp) + police = a very entertaining dvd. these nutters fly around stockholm at ludicris speeds evading the police in the city then unleash on the motorways at 300+ kms! all actual footage from cameras on the cars, its insane. at one stage the porsche actually has flames and sparks and sh*t flying out of its brakes...

    horrible

gull wing doors...... what were they thinking..... too much time in the garage with the fibreglass... i think it would be safe to say they havent been cool since the countach. or maybe back to the futures delorian... but that was a time machine, so its cool no matter what. oh and maybe harmans (spelling?) v12 e46 m3. thats a v12 so thats cool no matter what also. okay so im not making a very good case against those doors... ah f**k it. a pictures worth a thousand words and that e30 is awful.

    Cold air box's

A hundy for a cold air box is a pretty good deal. Can you please give me some more info and/or pics cos I am quite keen also! Cheers. You are getting ripped hard, they are making 100% and more profit off you, you can buy the sheeting for $50 from most performance retailers and do it yourself, so easy! sure, you could do it yourselves like msbond said, but does the box your selling come completely ready to fit and look right? cause its a bitch trying to create the exact right shape from scratch and get it looking half way decent, not like a drunk blindman took to some aluminum with tin snips and slapped it in your engine bay with some duct tape. you know who you are.... put some pics up cuase i could be interested... grant, eventhough performance would be pretty much minimal at best, non existant at worst, would you perhaps get a better induction sound? thoughts?
