  1. "...apply twice daily...should clear up in 3 to 6 weeks..."ahh weve all been down that road.. havent we? *someone down the back coughs* havent we? ....guys? *tumble weed rolls by*
  2. yeah, who am i kidding... whatever would i tell my little german princess when shes sees me jumping into another car... leaving her... in mt albert... with all the dirty jappas... (cars, that is)....she'd never forgive me...
  3. okay. this is the deal. had a strange "woowoowoo" from my front right wheel, so i thought it was the bearing... on closer inspection there was no play in the wheel, and no vibrations through the spring/shock so bearings were ruled out. then i noticed excessive brake dust.... got the car up on a hoist and found the wheel in question not to be spinning freely. aha! siezed caliper... but no took the caliper apart, not the problem... sure, i could just take it to a mechanic, but im pretty keen to get to the bottom of it... has any one got any ideas??? shes got abs... could this be the cause? how can i find out? brake fluid levels are sweet too. it also had uneven wear on the pads... one was a good 5mm worn than the other... thoughts?
  4. never under any circumstance machine e30 discs. it will only end in heartache. if you think they could do with a machineing i.e. vibration through the wheel under braking, just replace them. if you machine them the problem will go away for a week then come back with a vengance. the bmw specialist i saw was 'amused' that id had the disc's done... ...why is it i always have to learn from experience...
  5. bimmerboy what are you on??? get m3an to give you a lift... in his M3!!! he lives your side dosent he? hell i might even drive to your house, stash my car and he can take us both...
  6. that was in wairau right? i work up by the harvey norman, where the big-pond-over flow-newly-created-swampland thing is, i thought i was gonna come back to a very wet little german princess... and not the kind you might want to come back to.... so i moved my car and after getting completely soaked turns out the councils new stormwater system actually *falls over from shock* worked and i neednt have worried... typical. pretty cool flooding though...
  7. bimmer boy - yea im not fussed with the wheel, are you coming to the meet? ill bring it then if you want. gus - ill have to lookinto the stereo? im not sure about the wiring? if there is ill let you have it. i might have to start a stall at the meet selling parts...
  8. yea that sounds good... *rolling up sleeves in threating manner* glenn sell ollie whatever he wants. w h a t e v e r h e w a n t s. ahh thats better. if you are keen to sell ollie bring it to the meet?
  9. shame! what a rude car! LOL! id hate to see a fellow member driving around not knowing how gay his car was and having people laughing at him and stuff, so tell you what, i will swap my 325 for yours. then you wont have to drive around on that uncomfortable leather, and always be risking speeding fines and all the other horrible crap that comes with owning an mtec 325. and have people shout out "M?? is that for moron?" i'll take all the abuse from now on bro... and everyone knows how hard black is to keep clean. now dont thank me, cause thats just the kind of guy i am. all you have to do is bring the papers and stuff to the meet and we'll do a straight swap. thoughts? p.s. make sure its got plenty of gas too.
  10. its a sad day when someone would choose a rotor over an e30 m3. a limited edition 2.5 m3 no less.
  11. sedans, sweet. coupes, sweet. convertibles, sweet. tourings... sweet. what happened to the compact? its almost as if bmw wanted to fill a niche and 'whipped it up', i dont think it has the same visual balance as all the other shapes im bmws range. a pity really. anyway, flag a compact. if your 20 and honestlylooking for an $80,000 car, i cant see insurance really being that much of a problem. find a mint 2nd hander to the value of say 60 grand and spend the rest on insurance... there was a e30 M3 evo sport for 50 large in a recent BMWCC magazine.... go one. you know you want to...
  12. who went to that rainy BMWCC track day a puke a few months back, there was a red 318 turbo hauling ass... mightve been an is though...

    Cold air box's

if there were no gains for a 318 what about a 325? surely a well fed and closed off pod would make some difference... dosent upgraded intake and exhaust let the engine rev more freely?
