  1. did i miss something? why no more cruises? did something bad happen last time? i wondered why i couldnt find anything about meets anywhere. why no stickers? rude... i kinda wanted one...
  2. the 318is valance is daylight robbery from bmw, its a small plastic lip that sticks on the front of ur car, on the body, not plastic bumper, right below your foglights/brake ducts. it is bigger (i.e. lower) than the normal item, and sweeps foward, making the chin more aggressive and look cool ands stuff. for 300 to 350 dollars. bastards.if it helps think of it this way, without these extravagant costs, they couldnt make fantastic cars like the csl and so on.
  3. hate to sound like the wet blanket all down on life, but performance bmw will honestly let almost anything in to fill space. granted they have some innovative rides, and some plane horny bmws, but also some of the stupidest sh*t ive ever seen.one guy had a 318 with purple flip paint, and hed even painted the rear windows in flip paint, so they went a kind of muggy browny purple sh*t stain hue. what a f**king retard. to hide his ps1 in the passenger foot well he had a false floor that was like six inches higher than normal, out of plastic. just think about it. having said that i still subscribe so over all its a pretty sweet magazine. p.s. loving the white e30.

my mates, dads... mate? if you get what i mean, had a manual 2001 m3, then traded in very recently for a .....csl, and believe me, the shifts were pretty sweet. yea thats right. ive driven a csl. haha nah, actually i was the passenger and my friend was driving but farr, its was pretty cool. completely unrelated, this guy also targas a 400hp V8 capri. now that is a scary drive...
  5. holy f**k that was funny. well done
  6. yea i know its not a beemer but hey, somebody might know somebody. gunmetal grey four door R32 GTE, thats a 2.0i sohc straight six, engine runs well as does auto box. has frontal damage, no front bumper, bonnets messed up too, as is front passenger guard. has all glass and full cloth interior (interior has already been stripped out), some chassis damage, would need straightening. has been deregistered and would need towing, as wheels have already been sold if your intrested (or know somebody) give me a bell on 021 183 3501
  7. grant - im not too fussed, make me an offer. im easy like sunday morning. gus - you wouldnt want my car looking all uneven with a front lip and no skirts now would you? you should give me your skirts out of charity. i think that would be a pretty good idea. thoughts?
  8. okay, im looking for four items today guys. 1. front plastic valance (little trim under the fogs) for a 89 facelift 2. rear black plastic numberplate surround, recessed (model from imports?), not flush with tail lights also for 89 facelift 3. front passenger side fog light.... again 89 facelift. 4. tyre iron for .... you guessed it, 89 facelift. oh, does anyone wanna buy a genuine bmw towbar? from a...... 89 facelift. give me a bell on 021 183 3501 if you can help
  9. hey has anyone got a steering coupling for an 1990 e30? its kinda like a rubber bushing? if any one has one or can get one cheap give me a call on 021 183 3501 - jack. cheers
  10. did bmw make a 318is in the chrome bumper shape? i dont think ive ever seen one before. if your looking for a 318is front valance and moneys not an issue there around about $300 straight from bmw, but thats only for 88 onwards facelifts, with the plastic bumper. even though they just pop on the bottom they make a hell of a lot of difference to how the car looks. if any one wants to go halves / thirds in one we could whip up some fibreglass replicas and split the cost... just a thought

    springs?

hey i got my springs from dylan bruce at tyre city in glenfield, their "apex" springs ex-holland, a pretty good brand for euro cars and advertised in the euro bmw magazines and they come in 30 45 and 60 mill drops. gavin bellairs put me onto tyrecity and theyve been pretty good to me, they do things properly and dont sell shitty product, and dylans looked after me in the past. you should inquire there and see if hes still using apex springs and if he can hook you up 167 sunnybrae rd glenfield 09 443 5865 good luck...
  12. does anyone know from experience just how effective carbon cleans are? jerry claytons BMW charge 200? is really as good as they reckon?

    My Car

very nice, it must be fantastic to drive with the engine sorted as good as new... the list is so long... oh god thats gonna be me soon....
  15. gus it breaks my heart to see you list "2 working foglights" ive been the cyclops for over a year, with only one proper foglight. its impossible to find a face lift e30 passenger side fog. and everytime ones turned up, ive missed out onaccount of being to ghetto between pays. seeeck ride tho. looks very close to how id like mine to look after ive thrown some money at it... i think i saw you in taka a little while ago, i remeber thinking "jesus, thats way tidyer than mine... ah f**k it, i bet its an auto!" gutted. its all good though, go the manual 325 4dr! were you guys taking the piss or was it really an auto once? my rego reads 325i - 4, and my mates is 325i - A. does that mean his was an auto once??
  16. graeme i sent you a pm, but it didnt mention anything about the heater core. unfortunatly the A/C unit wont fit my non A/C system... cheers anyway tho. gotta a glove box lying around?
  17. i dont know how many of you read the british "total bmw" magazine, or "performance bmw" but they always have ads for euro tuning and aftermarket specialists. now ive been thinking about the prices and there very interesting/compeditive... less than 1000 nzd for a full (replica) m3, mtech, GTR or sport kit... tinted and clear lens for every imaginable light, DTM and m3 mirrors, splitters, spoilers, eyebrows for all e30 and 36 bimmers, even rare alpina and ac replica mags. i cant however tell you the quality or fit of these kits and parts, but its very interesting all the same... perhaps a group purchase to split the horrendous postage from europe? just a thought....
  18. its the brown coloured box behind and to the right of the glove box, attached to it is the heater valve, funny little thin tube with a cylinder on it... both stick through firewall into engine bay and plug into engine. ive been bypassing the heater since august and im hella keen to finish the job... anyone got a working heatercore... please? oh yea, for an 89 e30, with out aircon....
  19. need a good nick glovebox with lock. - working lock, not seized, anyone gots one lying around for cheap? cheers
  20. maybe we should start a msbonds hot mates thread.... thoughts? seriously tho, i didnt used to rate the car fair at ellerslie on sundays but the last time i was there i saw an immaculate auto 4dr 325 with the works, leather, mtech kit, wheels - $8000 ono. and my little bro picked up a mint 1990 auto 320 with grey leather and immaculate blue/purple pearl factory paint, full luxuary interior, for $3,600 in december so it could be worth a look? grrr it was his first car too.....

    retrims

sup all, i managed to scam to free (thats free, as in i paid.... nothing! no they werent stolen, just completely f**ked) m tech front seats and an m tech three spoke steering wheel for my baby but alas, the seats are the wrong colour cloth! i fixed em up good as new and now im stuck cos there apparently quite difficult to trim, casue they have those roll out thigh supporters and stuff an i refuse to pay upwards of $500 for the trim. one qoute was $1200, "doing me a favour" f**k that. does anyone know anybody in the trade? be ya best friend for life...... oh yeah, the seats were ....free! mhuhahahaha
  23. ahhhh! what did i start?! all the methods have there pros/cons. and each to his own. im somewhat a purist, i wouldnt want anything that wasnt german in my baby. but thats just me. in reply to all those talking about 3.0 litre 5 series conversions and the like, sposedly the 2.7 is a realtivly easy conversion and quite common in europe, if it were done properly it would be as reliable as any bmw it also dosent require changing the engine mounts or using new/different parts or shifting stuff round the engine bay like fans oil coolers etc and of course you can still use the gearbox and i dont know how many of you have tried to find a good used 5 speed but its an absolute f**king joke. i was quoted from one established parts dealer 2 years on the waiting list, and its like 3 and a half grand or more from bmw. the less work and parts to find the better, im not made of money. also andrew said you shouldnt measure an e30 on its 0 to a 100 times which is so true, its about driving it. i dont know weather or not ud actually notice but a big heavy six up front would completly change the feel and balance of the car. or so ive been told.... anyway, 200 bhp in a 1100kg car would be a hell of a lot of fun... its getting into some pretty compeditive power to weight ratios. to who ever asked whod i get to do it, i'd ask gavin bellars to do it, but i know hes getting sick of me going in and getting carried away with my crazy rebuild plans (p.s. i really dont know anyore than what ive read about these conversions, so im no authority on the matter)
  24. hey all, im intrested in the 2.7 conversion for the e30 325, it seems as though shes going to need to be opened up soon, and i figured while im paying my mechanic a fortune to do it i might as well go the conversion... does anyone have any experience with them, or even know any good tech sites? any information would be appreciated!
