i thought the grid girls drove auto 318's? or am i missing something here?

again..... everythings out now.....and was just testing....i plugged the head unit in and decided to test one of the speakers....so plugged a front one into the front speaker wire outlets off the headunit... nothing....bearing in mind that only one speaker is being tested....shouldnt something happen? or am i just thinking wishfully?......this makes me think that maybe it isnt the amp....could be the headunit? if so.....ghey!......if/when i get round to re wiring it i will run the front speakers off the headunit and the rears off the amp....so not a total waste of time whichever way u look at it.....HELP ME!.....want music

yes......had my share of much needed opposite lock not happening moments ...momo race= .....but im poor...sportline ones are pretty cheap....not that nice quality.....but might look at getting one recovered in suede.....depending on $$

hmm....agreed......very slow rack and big wheel is bus like.....im getting a sportline one this week....momo is very nice (ask grant) but $$$....i cant wait for the small one! andrews one is sportline as well

very handy....you've learnt me good...i just dont go so hard out with the silicone.....clean windows looks very good..i got some BMW window cleaner and it actually protects the windows a bit so they dont get filthy straight away...got some bmw carnauba wax going on next time i clean.....should be good....and polish is VERY hard to get off rubber trim

jacks got the e36 shift knob.....actually just realised that i have an e30 one lying around....but dunno how well it would stay on...more than welcome to try though....my e36 cost $40....i could go get the invoice but cant be arsed...is no more than $50.....i know how ya feel trying to look cool and go fast when the knob comes off in your hand.....

re earthed it to the battery this morn...no earthing probs! i seriously think amp is f**ked...musta short circuited it by touching +ve and ground together....dayum! oh bout the tongue thing......the whole circuit works.....

fuse on power amp cable sweet (the voltmeter was used)..... its hammer time...... sorry had to say it whilst on the subject of car audio.....anyway over weekend might just wire it up directly to headunit...a lot of hassle but i want my rammstein!

ok...rechecked everything....amp is grounded properly (it makes a circuit....tested with a voltmeter)....the headunit is fine and playing.....its just the amp....it DOESNT turn on!.....the remote cable is fine....checked with voltmeter as well.....only things i can think of is either the connection between the amp and the remote cable is f**cked....or the amp is fried..or the headunit isnt sending the signal through the remote cable....either or....any other suggestions before i get angry and take everything out again?...

yeah advice from buying my car.....take your time.....if you are just patient enough to wait you will find a mint as car within your price range (hopefully!)....me andy would be more than happy to come have a look...theres things you look at once you know what to look for.....maybe even look at getting a damaged and fixing it (aye tim?) do you want manual or auto? a manual 318 would prob be ya best bet for reliability and general all round good ness....and of course can be made to look cool easily (all ya need is $...as always) good luck

fuses on amp are sweet...the amp itself isnt turning on would it not being earthed properly mean it doesnt turn on? will check this out.....thinking about just taking the amp out if cant fix it...just wire speakers to headunit....the speakers are wired correctly....i just got a new battery....having said that my music hasnt worked since my new battery....so need to see what happens...why does only bmw stereo stay on? all other cars ive driven stereos turn off.....its actually like my amp is f**ked...hmmm....oh the fun
