  1. Hi everyone. Looking for some help here is anyone has run across this before. For background I have a 2000/9 E39 touring Japanese import. I replaced the Nav with a MKIII and the radio with a BM24. I coded the nav using NavCoder and It all seems to work OK (or did for maybe 6 months). What I get now is when starting the car, the orange light comes on and maybe 50% of the time no sound. If I turn the radio off and back on it usually (not always) works. However, sometimes the orange light comes on and the radio fires up right away. Most of the time the orange light does not come back on and maybe 30-60 seconds later the radio comes to life. If I have the screen on GPS it flicks to the radio screen when pushing the power, even when the orange light doesn't show up, so I know it has "recognised" the power on. Then after the delay, the radio comes on. Pushing any other buttons are also delayed - e.g. the tone will pop up maybe 30 seconds after it is pushed. I have a second BM24 and it behaves the same way. I am thinking the amp? Or maybe the Nav is doing something weird? This car to be fair feels strange though. I had a modlight 3 in my e38 which worked no problem. In this car it works, but prevents the car going to sleep so drains the battery. Starting to think maybe something is spewing data onto the canbus network or similar??? Cheers Ken
  2. Hi. I have just purchased an X2 (F39) that was stolen/recovered in Japan. When it arrived here I found that the HU had been removed, so I purchased a HU NBT second hand. The HU NBT now needs to be setup on the vehicle. I can do basic stuff via e-sys but am a bit out of my depth with getting this working. Help! Can someone please point me in the right direction to get it up an running. I really don't know where to start. Thanks
  3. Hello guys. I somewhat recently purchases a 2005 BMW E46 320CI. Since it's been in my ownership, I've only had one singular speaker function, and I am getting over it. The only speaker that works currently is my passenger door speaker, the tweeter in the passenger door does not. I've tried moving the functioning speaker around to other places to try and figure out if it's my wiring that's gone, or something else. By putting my only functioning speaker into the two rear shelf positions it did not play any sounds at all. I've done some googling and I am really struggling to figure out what sort of HiFi package I have in my car, as it seems to have the base range speakers, but with a SatNav head unit. I found a VIN decoder, and this is the codes that come up for my car; 550 - On-board Computer 602 - On-board Monitor with TV 644 - Prep for Mob. Ph. Bluet. Interf. 650 - CD Player 692 - CD Changer IBUS Preparation The battery and all the computers for the audio is in the boot of the car, and after looking around I found I have a BM53 module in there. Radio functions as it should, head unit (while it has burned out spots) functions as it should, and I am quickly running out of ways to troubleshoot. I found a HK amp in my local wreckers and picked that up dirt cheap, but my car doesn't appear to have any wiring for an amplifier ready in the boot. Anyone have any ideas, or will I have to replace the whole system completely? I'm happy to supply photos or videos if that helps anything. Thanks
  4. Hi Team, Need guidance to convert my 2012 screen to large display with Android/Apple carplay. Also want to add navigation to it which is currently missing Thanks, Swapnil
  5. Hello all! Just taken delivery of my G05. Noticed that there was no CD changer installed. Checked the online configurator and it says it should be included as standard with the vehicle. Should that be the case? My dealer says that it is no longer 'installed as standard' and that the configurator is wrong however I am still doubtful. Would be grateful if anyone can chime in to confirm if their current gen cars also have the cd changer.
  6. Hi there, I have an E46 and the sound system has an issue. It will play the radio just fine for about 30 minutes, but then the front and rear woofers cut out all at once, and then not long after, the rest of the speakers all cut out too. I got home and left the car off for about half an hour, and the sound all came back. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it likely to be the amplifier chips overheating or something? If so, where is the best place to get a replacement? Thanks.
