blobby 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Ok newbie here. I've just bought a very tidy 1988 525i with high miles. I'm looking at a possible engine swap either for another m20 or perhaps to a later model vanous unit. Anyone done this and can offer some insites - I'm guessing I need the loom, ecu, engine and ... Viking 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 Was talking to BMW today bout swapping (since my car was in there) and they said they would service for simple stuff, but not for majors which is fair enough.
