e30 m3 body kit

hi all

any idea if its possable to get a full e30 m3 body kit

over here .

ill be looking for 1 at some point i dont mind if its

just the wider body panels for now i can get the others

later.

There is no such thing as an M3 body kit dude.

It is basically a complete different unibody to the normal E30 (*waits for Josh*)

The easiest way really is to buy an M3.

Mtech bodykits however are much easier to find/fit on.

Yep - pretty sure it was custom though. Plus it looked like arse and the panels didn't appear to fit all that well.

i know you can buy the full m3 evo body kit in the uk for about

900 pounds as ive had 1 before.

Dont bother mate, get a m3 or stick with the standard. The m3 kits are arse, normally fibreglass (heavy,bad fitting, and different mould to the m3)

the one i done in the uk wasnt toooooooo bad

it was just the arse end never looked right.

im still going to have a think about it .its just the

cost of getting one and i already have a mtec kit

that came with our stuff from the uk.

E30 M3 rear panels are about 700 to 800 per qauter

E30 M3 front Guards are about 400 per quarter

E30 M3 Front bumper shell and carrier is about 1600

E30 M3 Rear bumper shell and carrier is about 1600

Rear window frame about 1000

E30 M3 boot and shell assembly 1600

Rear parcel tray interior assembly to (dont bother just get it done after market

Evo 3 Front splitter original = 1500 (just get a fiberglass after market one for $300 + shipping)

Evo 3 Rear spoiler ... same again .. just get after market

E30 m3 rear glass window (aint priced this up yet)

E30 side skirts 350 a peice

E30 m3 doors --- easy enough to just mod some standard coupe doors to look the same

Basically It'll cost you around 2400 to get the box guards + cutting / welding / finishing .. its the other bits that cost the $$$

Your looking at around 12k for parts and about 6-8k for assembly paint

Bank on 20k to do an OEM m3 conversion from new.

The fiber glass kits are nasty .. have seen two in the flesh now and they all delaminate from the seems and/or get water in them at some point.

Getting glass bumpers would be worth it .. depending on the quality of the job .. and would save you big $$$.

e30 m3 in NZ at the mo is about 25 - 50k .. and you would still have to spend 10k on the right hand conversion. so its up to you what you are trying to do ..

We are going the panel and body route and are opting not to strip out an e30 m3 .. as at the end of the day its costs about the same ... may as well buy new stuff. But our goals are a lot different than just wanting the m3 look. We had to consider power and drive train strength. So buying an m3 made no sense price wise as we could m-coupe and body kit the current car with new OEM stuff for the same price / slightly cheaper.

Unfortunitly there is no way currently of doing it on the cheap and properly.

yeh thats the thing for me

i am wanting to do a bit of racing and even

give the targa a try at some point.

thats why i dont what to buy a m3(and the cost)

as i would hate to have a big OFF and total a m3

the kit i had in the uk was full fiberglass and like i say it

wasnt to bad but the boot cos its a differant shape just

let the whole thing down.

i grew up in a panel shop and did the hole thing my self

it was only for driffting and i new that it would last long

but it done the job ok.

Wel if your going to do a bit of racing, dont buy the m3 kit then, they are heavy as
