jpp 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 1280 download and 159 upload on Woosh Wireless Auckland. My signal strength is sh*t cos I dont have a window near the antenna. Gas bottle is a great antenna holder, yes that is petrol right beside it. Woosh sucks, when we move soon, its going! We have to chug through bimmersport here... soooo slow Watch out your house doesn't go Wooooosh!
Frosty44 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 560kbps down, 120 up grrrr I'm getting annoyed with our internet atm. Just had the telecom/downer guys in for a couple of days to fix up the line and now its up to 7616kbps downstream from the terminal thingy (shown on the router's test), but our actual internet speed is like 560kbps because slingshot is so shitty. Think we'll have to change ISP can anyone recommend one?
Driftit 2078 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 (edited) Xtra Go Large for me. I usually get double that after 12pm though and during the day before 3pm. Still sux compaired to the 8mb line I had in the UK at 1/4 the cost of the shitty go large plan. Downloading from Rapidshare during the day I get about 500kpbs. Which is pretty sweet I guess for home in NZ. Go Larger blocks torrent programs though. Think they close ports or something.
