Driftit 2078 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone can recommend any driver training programs for teaching racing skills. My brother and I are currently building a race series E30. But he has had no prior experiance on the track. Im taking him to a few open days coming up, to have a run around in my 180sx but it would be best to get him behind the wheel with a decent tutor. Cheers Dan
tibbs.james 1 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 don't know how it works up north but at Ruapuna they have a racing school which caters from the odd weekend warrior to full professional racing tutoring sessions. A phone call to your nearest race track might get you some good info
OLLIE 26 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 I might organise a day at puke with a driver from either formula toyota or NZ V8's, will let you know.
m325i 709 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 I did one at Taupo in a formula Vee, it was pretty sweet. Basically the guy just gave you some pointers then just let you go nuts. About $500 i think.
Driftit 2078 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 Race school sounds like what I am after. Might give Puke a yell and see who they have for me to contact.
cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 Can't you do something at Taupo? Also, weren't the BMWCC running a racecraft course each year? Otherwise, Canterbury Racing School at Ruapuna do it in an RX7 for a start and then into a Formula Ford.
