E30-OLLIE 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2007 Hey, I've been into fun/performance cars for years and always liked the look of the E30's. Grew up in South Africa where I remember them (E30 328's) in production racing series.. Anyway, I've just purchased a very tidy Bimmer: Was a 1987 2 door E30 320.....now has 325i engine, 260 Getrag box, 325i larger dia front struts, Mitsi Evo 4 front brakes (apparently from a guy in the Hutt Valley with a red Toyota powered E30 - anyone know him?), 325 rear disks, etc, etc. I'm happy with the car but no doubt will be modifying it in the future - for performance reasons and NOT for boyracer reasons. :-) No offence to any boyracers out there, but it's just not my thing. Hope to meet some fellow enthusiasts sometime soon. Ollie

Grant 4 Report post Posted August 1, 2007 Welcome. By the sounds of it, you bought Matt's car, that has the Evo 4 brakes of ex-Glenn's in it. Nice car - it looked to be a good buy. Cheers Grant

Cheers Grant Yup, that's the one. This site/forum came highly recommended. I'm very pleased with the car and am learning fast - I'm hoping to start using the car for a few local club event but still keep it as a daily driven car. Will have to wait till next year before heading back to Manfield for dual car sprints but it should be fun! Need to sort traction issues but will see how it goes in a few events first.
