Guest 540Si Report post Posted November 5, 2007 (edited) Finally cleaned the cowshit off after the Mystery Tour the weekend before last Got some photos quicky before, sadly now, smeared in bugs again So here's the Purple People Eater **And I ordered my German Plates yesterday too - Black with extra black ** Gotta love that high kiwi dollar sometimes! **EDIT: GERMAN PLATES ON** A bit cleaner again and finally have pics of the plates on the car. Am quite pleased with them - $106 well spent. And I have the originals tucked into the boot just in case too I really don't think mine will draw too much interest from the law as there aren't any characters in mine that look too different (except the "4") Well here's hoping anyway! Guest 540Si Report post Posted November 5, 2007 Is the interior of your E34 the very light grey? (I had the same in an E36) = very Miami Vice That's the one! Miami grey I believe it's called Nice light interior with just a splash of woodgrain trim and the nicest matching gearstick with 1 to 6 on it Am preferring the light grey in the Hawkes Bay heat over the dark blue I had in the 535 and i'm sure everyone agrees that once you've had recaros you'll never go back! You between cars at the mo? How's Dunners anyway? My old hometown

You between cars at the mo? How's Dunners anyway? My old hometown Yep, i'm inbetween cars. I have this mental health problem which means I can't own a car for more than about three months. In the 7 years I have been driving, I have owned over 20 cars, inc 4 E30's, 2 E36 and a E34. Last car was a horrible Audi 80 Avant. Hunting for a nice NZ new E39, but most people want drug money for them. Dunedin is nice and grey, about 5 degrees at the mo! Im currently sitting in a dark corner studying for my last ever exam which is on Friday. Dunedin has been a great place to study though - best decision I ever made. I miss Dunedin a little - but not too much Will be nice to have that last exam under your belt - I remember the feeling - will you be in a state of perpetual irresponsible drunkenness for the following days? More riots on the telly? Make sure you wear a now, the cops went back through the tv footage to collar extra naughty boys! I almost bought an E39 - drove a 540 MSport too - almost ruined me for all other cars, but like the rarity factor of mine now. What size you looking at? Yes, it will be a state of incoherent drunkenness for a few days! Flat mates finished on Saturday and had to put up with them partying hard, we even had the cops turn up... As for cars, i'm not too fussy. I do a bit of work in the industry down here so have access to trade ins at various dealerships. Hence, if something OK comes up cheaply i'll grab it. Off to Akl next year so will want to sort something before I leave. A facelift 530i would be ideal, but pricing seems to be all over the show. I've also looked at a few E46 328i's, but because they are such a popular car you can't "steal" them. Mercs are very good value at the moment (97-00 E Class esp), wouldn't mind a nice NZ E320 if I could find one, they can look very sharp with big AMG monoblocks. What did you study in Dunedin? I take it the cold got to you and you moved to warmer pastures?

kiwi535 538 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 I swear E34 owners are bigger trainspotters than E30 owners.true for me!,some e34s were relatively low production runs....does that make them special....yes in my book but only if real, same as the way you guys argue about M 325's.I mean if you had a E34 540 six speed rhd touring you are one of 62 in the world...thats a special car to me.oh look there goes the 6 15 expresss to the wairarapa.....
