Yeah one to one fifth on that box you have - I would go with the 2.93, 3.25 would haul ass though!

Yea was just taking into account the cost in fuel at the moment and with the potential for it to continue rising lol.... i guess this is what ya get with a swap like this cant have everything (economy & power)

I dont know how to check what I have at the moment I have found various numbers on the diff but how do i tell the ratio?

Cheers

A later e36 328 auto runs a 3.07/1 ratio.

Should fit the 186 e30 housing.

Will need a pro to set it up.

Normally there is a little metal tag that is attached to the rear cover by one of the main bolts, these are normally pretty rusty but will have the ratio stamped on them, the other way is to mark the out put shaft and the diff case then turn the drive shaft and count how many turns of the out put shaft to one turn of the drive shaft - crude but will get you pretty close, its easy to tell the diff from a 4.1 to a 3.46 for instance.

Well guys now tha I have a 6cyl rev counter in I know the true RPM of the M50, shes doing about 1900rpm at 50km and about 3500rpm at 100km and hour so not as bad as i thought..

$1k hmm thats a pretty good price Brent, what kind of slight modification are we talking about to get the LSD to fit my E30?

Cheers, Luke

not sure just heard of guys that have done it.

once its done you shouldn't have blown diffs anymore , unless you do something real stupid.

Ray has a 3.46:1 e30 lsd on Tme at the moment.

Will bring you back to under 3000 @100km/h.
