M3 induction kits.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, whilst we're on the topic of M3s, i've been looking for an induction kit for mine, i.e K&N, simota etc, i know the M3 1HOTM3 had a Simota induction kit, any ideas where that came from???

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Greg.

Hey Greg,

There is one that is sworn by in UK and Europe, Gruppe (?) M carbon fibre induction kit, I will check out the UK mags at home for suppliers, can simply order on line, think the test done in UK show a 15 - 20 bhp increase and a fantastic induction note, not sure of prices but what price can you put on more go and a great noise ??

Cheers Grant

The Simota stuff is good and they do a nice range of stuff for euro’s!

I got my Carbon intake for $210 and came with everything (mounts, clips, washers, intake feed, silicon pipes and clips) including a stainless I/C to manifold pipe!

Check out http://www.simota.com/intro.php find your part number and recite it to Peter Lee at

Broomfish Motorsport, they are the NZ importer and a good wack cheaper than what you’d pay in store. http://broomfish.co.nz/index.php?manufacturers_id=13

Maybe give Peter a call, he is very helpful.

I have a feeling that a lot of the BMW stuff is universal?? I know they do a E46 M3 kit.

For dyno proven stuff with proper R&D I'd go with aFe from the USA - lots of guys use them in the US with great results.

Just had a look, it's all tempting stuff, would prefer to find something in NZ, was hoping someone here has got an induction kit in their M3 that could share a little light on the subject???

Thats some nice stuff!!

Simota tune their intakes on a Dyno too (check the web-site), they just don’t charge the world for a reasonably simple piece of kit :)
