Could someone tell me what this is?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've noticed this "thing" hanging on a cable ... it's hanging from the front right part of the front bumper.

The cable leads up behind the front bumper and disappears, not too sure where it leads to.

If you want me to take more photos, that's no problem.

Outside temp sensor for OBC? As Yuen said... see if there's a part number on it.

found this number on it next to a bmw symbol ... 8357632

I keep stuffing it back up under the front bumper but it keeps falling down

I guess I'll just slap some duct tape on it :)

I don't think so Greg, but they probably are in colder countries. If you want to see if your car has them, remove the lining under the bonnet, should be some sort of heating mechanism around the nozzles.

It's the outside temp sensor and belongs in the plastic brake cooling duct. Just pops in (and out). Mine did the same
