briancol 3 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 (edited) Hi people I'm a newbee to this site. I only became aware of it today. I live in Papatoetoe, Auckland, New Zealand., and drive a 1996 BMW 325i Motorsport coupe. I will try to post a picture of it, but as I'm new to this site, it may not work. briancol 3 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 (edited) Welcome, Nice e36, is it a Manual? Sorry Quailboy but it's an auto. What I spent a long time looking for was an E36 M Sport Coupe in black. My preference was for a 328 5 speed but after 6 months looking I ended up with the 325 Auto. Still a great car though. I have done a fair amount of work on the car, eg 18" alloys, M3 spoiler, flared the rear guards, and recently added M3 rear vision mirrors. briancol 3 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Cool. Do you have clear indicators on your tail lamps? I too know what it's like to not be able to find the vehicle you're after in manual and you have to opt for an auto! Welcome to BS Yes the car has clear rear indicators. You may have also noticed the chrome front grill which is aftermarket and fitted in Japan before I purchased it.

Yuen 16 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) Welcome! Your car looks very nice. Just wondering - is it really a 325? Never heard of a 1996 325 - they stopped around 1994, might be a few 1995 around but by 1996 should be a 323 with the 2.5L M52. Regarding the M roundel - I've always assumed it's an aftermarket item as I have never seen BMWs come with it from the factory. thats one sweet condition car, reminds me of Yuens old car. That's exactly what I thought Edited April 29, 2008 by Yuen

That's exactly what I thought The car is a Japanese import, It was purchased as a 325 and once it was complied the MR2A had the cc rating as 2,500 cc. I can only go by what they said. That's exactly what I thought I have just cut and pasted this from land transport re the details about my car. Vehicle Description Vehicle Type Passenger Car/Van Engine No. 256S-121198 Chassis Number WBABF82060EP82582 CC Rating 2,490 Colour BLACK Country of Origin Germany Power kW Assembly Type Imported Built-Up Prev. Fuel Type Unknown Fuel Type Petrol Last WOF Inspection 19/03/2008 Pass Last WOF Expiry 19/09/2008 So it seems it just might be a 2.5 ltr engine.
