far4ngn 14 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) Personally, its down to the age old problem of size... normally 7's and 5's don't sell very well (at least in the UK). 7's normally go for peanuts. I think people think their is more to go wrong. Plus the market for 3 series cars is huge... Edited September 28, 2008 by far4ngn

martyyn 2 Report post Posted October 6, 2008 Yeah, bring it along Paul. I wouldn't mind taking it for a spin to see what all the fuss is about with the 'is' If you dont mind sharing it out that is
far4ngn 14 Report post Posted October 7, 2008 Yeah, as long as your gentle Martyn. Think the fuss is more about the balance of the car rather than all out performance

Nasan 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 I have a couple of them, (NZers) and have a need to sell one very soon too. Sad thoughts.Trying to decide which one,the Black one (coming up 160) or the red one (120kms 119 now). Hoping some collector will buy and treasure it as its previous owners have and preserve it for posterity perhaps. Was interested in whether you have sold. Same sentiments as you, just rego'ed the red one and appreciate its driving character and frugal petrol compared to the m325i. Seems prices for say a decent e30 m325i make the e30 318is a dwarf by comparison, whose qualities are definitely underestimated and underrated by their scarcity in the market I suppose. How many would be still running here be in NZ? I have the engine and gearbox of one from a damaged one and with yours that's 5. Shelly's seemed to have brought many if not most most in. I was told 20 altogether came to NZ. AnMTech11 model one does not get mention in the factory Literature of the model. Wonder IF he has sold his one or not??ANyone know this guy?? far4ngn 14 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 I've accepted a deposit on my car, so I'll introduce the owner to Bimmersport if it sells. BEEMWR still has his two as far as I'm aware.
