transmission problems

Recommended Posts

hey ive got a 1992 e36 320 and it seems to be hanging in gear just atad to long in like 2nd and third.

ive been told that a transmission flush might be the way to go.

is it hard to flush the fluid and change the gasket?

or does anyone have any better advice?

cheers

It may not necessarily be the trans that is causing this. Get it scanned first. Changing the filter, pan gasket and oil may improve things. However I would suggest you get it scanned by a competant person with a brain first and go from there. Make sure they scan DME, EGS & ABS. The early cars like yours dont have adaptive capability.
