jrgb 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 Back in May I posted a few images of the modifications being made to Paul Mill's Z3 M Coupe. Paul has raced the car for one season, but was getting RaceFX to do some pretty major upgrades ... engine, diff, wheels, suspension, interior, body ... well everything really! Paul's completed car was unveiled at RaceFX last week, and he has already had it out on the track for some testing. Looks great, handles brilliantly, goes quick (don't know any times - I wasn't there - but I think the goal is 1.05 or there abouts). Great job Paul (and the Team at RaceFX)! Apologies about the 'less-than-fantastic' images - I didn't take them! Cheers, John
E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 Also worth mentioning that it makes one hell of a gorgeous noise when passing! Shame conditions weren't better on Saturday to see this cars full abilities. Look forward to seeing more of it over the season.

ecko_complex 3 Report post Posted July 4, 2008 Yeah that's pretty damn nice. Why was the VANOS removed?
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted July 4, 2008 Yeah that's pretty damn nice. Why was the VANOS removed? Vanos is really only good for a mid range power cam profile like it was designed for. To use a sharper profile and have usable power in the top rev ranges (which most race engines operate at) You need racing cams and not the standard vanos operated cams.
