timmay 4 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 (edited) Hey all! This is my first post in BimmerSport but frequent EuroSport.org.nz and have been for a while now! Picked up my new car a few weeks ago. Its a 2007 BMW 130i SE MSport, absolutely loving it! Is a 6spd manual (wouldn't have it any other way) with the usual MSport stuff. Wheels are off a Z4. Factory options include: front PDC (only rear is standard), Xenon headlamps and washers, cruise control. No mods yet (apart from a stubby antenna and 35% tints) but plan to get some sort of exhaust/intake when I can find someone that makes them for the 130i! Previously owned a Honda S2000, Mazda RX8 Type-S, and a MKIV VW Golf GTi. Oh, and I know Apex as he is a EuroSport member as well :-) Edited September 4, 2008 by timmay
timmay 4 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 (edited) Oh and the other car in the background in one of those pics is a E36 323i with AC Schnitzer body kit. Its my partners car :-) Edited July 30, 2008 by timmay

jjs 64 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 Nice ride! Having owned a MkIV Golf, did you try the new MkV GTI / R32? If so, how does the 130i compare?
timmay 4 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 Yea, I took the MKV R32 for a spin. Was quite disappointed really. Made a nice sound, but the overall package just didn't appeal to me as much as the 130i. Interior of the R32 wasn't really up to scratch, there is loads of them around, 130i has heaps more options. Drive was, gear shift has a long throw compared to the 130i (hate that), was a softer ride then the 130i (too soft for my liking), and was quite noisey in the cabin going down the motorway. The 130i is smaller inside, but I don't need a big car :-P
Apex 693 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 Plus it’s RWD!! The Golf R32 is a FWD with rear wheel traction control. The Golf GTI is the must have car of the moment though and is a sensational drive. Your car is as good as brand new Tim and for the price you paid you couldn’t have done better.
timmay 4 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 Oh yea...forgot about the RWD bit...it was a bit of a given for me :-P
