emily-mouse 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2008 Hey there. Attempted to get a warrant the other day, 4 things failed, 3 of the parts are pretty cheap, but my front shocks are soft... so yeah. Is it normal for them to be around about $450 from a parts place?? Just about had kittens when I got the quote. Anyway, does anyone have any lying around who would sell for a decent price? Shipping cost isn't really an issue... Thankies hankie pankies.
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) Depends wether you want a performance shock or standard. Monroe shocks will be fine on a 318 and do the job, however they may need to be shortened on your car because its lower= more expense. Is there a "Shock Shop" in TG ??? Try them. Do not use KYB shocks though I can do a set of new Monroe shocks for $350.00 + GST Bump stop gator kits $45.00 + GST a pair Edited August 12, 2008 by botanymotorworx

Do not use KYB shocks though Wouldn't have a clue about if I'd need to get them shortened... as you know my car is lowered with compressed springs. Hmmm... Danks Uncle Glennie. *Glenn* 854 Report post Posted August 13, 2008 (edited) Gosh there must be shocks waayy cheaper than those...or am I dreaming? If you go the real cheap way...you could end up doing it twice. Use new shocks and do it once properly....for safety and peace of mind. Edited August 13, 2008 by botanymotorworx

Shocks have never been cheap em. +1 for Glens advice, do it right first time. Its true that shocks play a huge part in braking and cornering, dont put a price on yo life.
