not fun driving in motorway having noticing temp reaching over 3/4 =/

good thing i got home :)

as u can see major crack from the centre... i just touched the outer bit and it literally broke... (not even pinched)

so i suggest guys with e36 below 1996 ( i think) replace your plastic factory water pumps :)

i got a brand new M52 Metal Pump and thermostat if you're keen - mine was apparenty replaced not too long ago, hence i don't have to change it

ive got a m50 engine =/ will it fit?? just need the waterpump though.. just replaced my thermo not too long ago..

We replace at least one every second day... its not unusual

Alot of the aftermarket ones fail...like some of the thermostats... we only use OEM now

You'll need to replace the thermostat too and clear overheat fault codes... hope you havent triggered oil temp as well or it might be a bit of a snowball effect from here on in

i got quoted $140 from parts master...

nah didnt get any warning lights... nor activated the oil temp... was just over the 3/4 mark.. and had a rest a bit at a carpark and had sum wendy's before going home..

just replaced my thermo like 2 months ago ... bought a new thermo housing too was a bit brittle..

Paid $200 for it

You can have it for 180 if you want, otherwise i might just keep it

I have new OEM quality Waterpumps for these in stock. Bimmersport price $112.20 + GST. German manufactured "Kolbenschmidt" brand, with metal impellor.

Yes I agree...thats why I mentioned it. I wouldnt take the risk with any waxstat type thermostat
