Creaver 55 Report post Posted September 21, 2008 Only thing I don't like about it is the M5 badge and the 350 CHEV sticker on the back. Apart from that looks a tidy conversion. I'm guessing it's cheaper to do a 350 chev transplant over an m60?

I'm guessing it's cheaper to do a 350 chev transplant over an m60? Yep, no ECU problems.. Would personally just buy a V8 power BMW to start with though. This thing would get more street cred than a factory V8 5 series and would most likely be slower and uneconomical.
westy 614 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 I like. If this things any good it would eat a m60 for breakfast. Would enjoy its drink tho.
elmarco 56 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 Why? Because there is no replacement for displacement... Don't like the 350 Chev sticker and flames, but it isn't the worst application of a small block I have ever seen. I like it.
hotwire 352 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 YUK!! ... A boat anchor in a Beemer! As Graham said, I too would just have a factory V8 thanks Each to their own though - whatever floats your boat

BM WORLD 1286 Report post Posted September 23, 2008 i sold him a diff , its only got the medium case unit in there . i told him he should upsize it to the large case unit . he reckons it will do 220km/h ( even the 535i will do that )
mr E34 11 Report post Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) My old E34 (525i)M20 auto could pull 220k's. That conversion has ruined that car, weight distribution etc,you loose alot of dash electronics, if you want US muscle put it in the right car. Buy a Dodge Challenger!!!!!!!!!!
