Checklist complete

Recommended Posts

Yay! got the car back from the panel beaters today where I had the rear spoilers painted and the guards rolled to accommodate for the tractor wheels :P.

I have now officially finished my "appearance checklist":

  • euro plates
  • angel eyes
  • eye brows
  • rear window spoiler
  • boot lip spoiler
  • mags (few sets to choose from depending on the "circumstances" :P)

My theory here was to try and keep it subtle enough for "BMW tradition", yet noticeable enough to stand out from the hoards of E36's out there on the roads these days. I guess the 19's may step on a few "purist" toes but I simply love the aggressive look it achieves, I will continue the search for a BBS alternative at some stage but these will have to do for now.

The only thing left now is to get rid the bloody stone chips (NEVER drive behind a GT-R on NZ open roads... bad idea <_<)

That's one good looking car crazyarab, but then I'm prejudiced.

I like such mods as Angel eyes and eyebrows etc. and I'm a firm believer in "personalising" your car.

Check out mine, you will see certain similarities.

Well done crazyarab,

Forget the purists.. This car looks fantastic, not too much - but just enough mods.

Will definitely stand out among E36's ^_^

Hope to see it around chch some time.

I love it! Exactly the same things i want on mine. Am on the fence still about the roof spoiler though. So far i have the angels + euro plates, so a little bit to go.

Cheers for the great feedback guys :)!

Very nice, is it just me or does the rear look a little high ?

Yep you would be right, mainly due to the big wheels. I will be looking into suspension soon but purely to improve performance.

Lookin good Atta! What's next? :P

Other than keeping her running in mint condition, I am considering "non engine related" performance mods i.e. suspension, brakes etc...

Put it this way, no turbos just met Matt :P

Been watching this car and it gets better every time.

I have to say this is a very nice M3, and a credit to you!

Look forward to suspension and brakes :D

I did wonder if it was due to the low profile tyres. Its a fine car and personally speaking I think just the slightest drop will make all the difference.

Subtle will always win it for me :)

That is one amazing looking e36.

I was a bit dubious looking in the earlier thread when you added the eyebrows, but with the rear window and boot lip spoilers imo the look is balanced out. Love how you have different 'shoes' for any occasion haha. Keep up the good work.

Looking real goot Atta - glad the roof spoiler worked out for you! Looks alot better than it was going to on mine, must be the colour! Can't wait to see progress on suspension/brakes!

It looks black in those pics, you need to get a good camera angle to bring out the green.

I know, my camera is very average :(. Hopefully getting a mate of mine to take some real shots with his pro camera .
