JiB 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2009 So didya clean the brakes like you promised in the first post? i'll clean them. I just haven't gotten round to it. Besides, dirty dirty oem looking brakes mo' betterer atm. "honest officer, these bmw's came with big brakes, look how dirty they are they must be factory." However, bright yellow/red/gold suspension might give it away.

JiB 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Update: Car is 100% legal with Auth Card, Cert, Wof and Reg. So much money in paperwork Anyways, no pics coz I'm too busy driving it. Isolating all manner worrying sounds (without much success). Slowly getting all prepped for the Rally Sprint this weekend. Still need to: Clean it (currently, water beads off the car because of the layer of dust on it) Paint front bits of cage I forgot about Deal with rust Paint bald spots Sort out temporamental boot lock Clean up interior Attach sump guard Sort door handles Fix exhaust leaks Service it Bleed brakes again Still want to: Shift light (my tacho gave up) Put the rest of my tech1 kit on Decide which of my rear wings I want to use (so far techII lower is winning) Clutch Stop Footrest Passenger footrest Pockets/glovebox Increase coolness to DRTDVL levels

DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Cam if he isn't interested would it be possible to test my rev guage with it? I have a free saturday as the gf is away and a sunday morning...
CamB 48 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 I'll PM you my mobile # - if you come around tomorrow, I have a test kit thing I bought once which has a tach mode (you connect it to the plug leads). Won't take long. What I'll lend to JiB is a crappy Autogauge tach - I am going out to Puke with him on Sunday for car club sprints, and I might try hook it up there if we have time.
