Or they include the middle muffler or just straight through and you need to weld on / slip joint the end of your exhaust system to it? FYI, I am a noob at exhaust systems lol. bravo 35 Report post Posted November 16, 2008 (edited) What is the reason for the collector near the end? Why not twin pipes all the way? I'm thinking maybe I could cut it at the collector to join in with my 2.25" current system at that point. Edited November 16, 2008 by bravo
smiddy 76 Report post Posted November 16, 2008 The mid section with collector is part of header [secondary]. It is important to slow gas flow before entry to exhaust system, also balances. you can operate without mid section but gains not as great.

DrphTa 5 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 Hey wayney, On the same note, you said that the m50 long headers would not bolt straight up but the short set would. Is the long set a cut and weld job to get them on?
smiddy 76 Report post Posted November 21, 2008 Yes, short unit bolts to OEM flange [stock]. Longer header needs supplied flanges to be welded in place.
