Guest Simon* Report post Posted November 17, 2008 Yeah fair question I guess - something where I don't just turn the sound off straight away - what was that sh*t incidentally? Driving music needs to be good hard and thumpin' IMO not some wishy washy crap with some whiner drowning it out on the edge of his vocal chords. Some of the good electronic stuff without vocals is ok, and personally I'm a big fan of Metallica as "mood music" or some heavier old school rock. Probably wouldn't suit this clip though. It's a pretty subjective issue

e30plz 1 Report post Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) Yeah they could have put something better on it than Linkin Park.. Driftit 2078 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 Good to see M3's being put through their paces. Never been a fan of the Sierra though. Awesome track though. Wish we had something like that here. Looks like a purpose built drift track. Although if we had one here you would have every goober in there cut spring Cefibro crapper wrecking it. E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 Did any body check out the Eggenberger Sierra at Manfield.1 of 5 in the world-Awesome!!I spotted it when waiting to be scrutineered, thought it was a very good replica, was amazed to find out it was a genuine Eggenberger. Did it go out on the track or was it just a display, can understand if they didn't want to risk such a special car. I can still remember those things battling with the M3s in the WTCC, amazing cars and amazing racing.the m3 made the cosworth look like a daihatsu with regards to the powerslidesShorter wheel base, wider track and better low down torque being non-turbo all help the M3 in that respect, shame racing is more about overall speed and sliding is not the quickest option.Anyone found any videos from the WTCC with the M3s and Sierras hard at it? Top Secret 2 Report post Posted November 21, 2008 Do you mean old school early 90s DTM? Which has the E30, or BTCC with both of them? I've got quite a few videos on my computer sourced from all over the place which shows all those early 90s races, including one where an E30 is having a duel with an old HDT Commodore Magical stuff. I think I know what I'm going to be doing today then!
|ncary 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2008 including one where an E30 is having a duel with an old HDT Commodore That's ol' Brocky in the Holden. I love telling gumby holden fans about that video. How a 2.3l 4cyl could easily keep up with a big 5 or 6 litre bicep of a car. I don't know how Holden (GM) get away with producing such terrible engines, even the 2008 ones still have a SOHC on each bank, and all of 60hp per litre. Hang on, can you be a bit more specific please? We have the 3 door Sierra Cosworth (all RWD?), the 4 door Sierra Sapphire Cosworth (4WD?) and the non-Cosworth NA XR 4x4 (RWD), but then the normal Seirras were RWD anyways... it was the Cosworth and the Xr4x4 that were special... There was nothing special about the Xr4x4 so I won't even go into details...... 1986-1987 Sierra Cosworth RS RWD (3 door with the big tail) 1987 RS500 RWD (looks very similar to the 3 Door Sierra, huge turbo, intercooler etc) 1988-1991 Sierra Cosworth RS RWD (4 door sedan, given the name Sapphire) 1990-1992 Sierra Cosworth RS 4WD (4 door sedan, Sapphire has bonnet vents) 1992-1996ish Escort Cosworth 4WD (big and small turbo models, 3 Door with big tail) Edit: Spelling.
