e30 Tacko problems

Hey guys, cant remember when it started doing this

on a pre facelift, 1986 325i,

my speedo gauge has stopped responding, wont move off the zero mark,

what are some things i could check, that could cause this

also, the light that lights up the dash gauges has also stopped working, probably just a blown bulb ? or are there fuses that could also cause this

Any help would be awsome

Speedo comes from the back of the diff, check that it's not unplugged?

Should say on the back on the fuse box cover but I would think if it was the fuse the whole cluster would not work.

Does none of the cluster light up? I had the rev counter light go out one day on once just needed a new bulb.

+1 on speed sensor cable at back on the diff for the speedo

haha i had this problem the other day, all gauges worked except speedo and indicators, this was right after doing some heaving engine breaking and locking the rears, took the plug off and on and it worked, same with the indicators, weirdest thing ever.

yeah, some times its just best not to ask why, and what happened, ive had enough things go wrong, that have no explanation, and then miraculously go again, maybe im just going crazy hmm

My speedo stopped working and it was a fuse that had gone, some other stuff also stopped working, cant remember what though.

Try checking fuse 12 and 10.
