dhurring 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 Hi, how difficult is it to change my 323i e46 seats from the current cloth ones to good condition leather ones. And any ideas of anyone in Christchurch that could help with this, and a rough idea of costs? Thanks.
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 4 bolts on each front seat and disconnect the occupancy sensor & seat belt receiver wiring loom plugs Real easy. But you will have to fit E46 seats in leather. If yours is a sedan you will have to get a sedan set. Coupes are different front & rear.
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 It is possible to change the coupe seats onto the sedan carriers and motors. The electronics are the same between both. Have changed my front seats to coupe, heaps better Its a pity you werent asking a month earlier. Westy just sold a full set of leather 46 seats for around $500. You can get your cloth seats leather with brand new higher than OEM grade leather for about 3k. this includes the rears seats and door cards too. Most reputible holsterers will know how this is done. Its something a lot of dealers get done to cloth imports to help sell the vehicles. I used retro vehicle enhancements in AKL (not much help)
