3 SERIES 93 Report post Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) Hi All, Im not in the market yet, but will be as some stage in the future. Ultimately I will be after a manual E46 330ci but going to hang on a little while to see if the prices come under the 20k mark In the mean time I thought Id ask as Im not up with the play with E46's Question: At present I have a manual E36 318is (4 cylinder). Can someone tell me if there is going to be any difference in acceleration? reliability? fun factor? if I went for something like this? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-194498183.htm As I said, I dont think ill go for the E46 318 as I still enjoy my car. Thought Id ask so I could gain more knowledge. Many Thanks Brett Edited January 15, 2009 by 3 SERIES

3 SERIES 93 Report post Posted January 15, 2009 Agreed, not a lot of 330ci mans around. Not against a 328 at all. Mind you, im not in any rush so will be ready to pounce when a 330 comes up
3 SERIES 93 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 Can anyone help?
Mark 178 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 May as well stick with the E36.... easier to fix, less computer'y bits to go wrong and it's probably quicker too as E46's are heavier than E36's. Save your $$$ for the car you really want, the value of a 318i will never go up so your dough is safer in the bank earning interest!
