M30B35 1987 8:0:1 pistons

Hi All

Does anyone have a set of these i fully didnt know any engine ran that low comression and actually ran fine,

would they be ok for putting in my turbo i know the compression would be fine but there would be alot of limitations wat they could handle etc

The standard 2002 engine had 8:1 - once upon a time it was common.

If you want 92mm bore (not 93.4) have a look for M30B34 - it appears to be the same bore and stroke by the looks of my 5 min google, but 8:1.

It's possible it is a USA only engine. I wouldn't know.

Standard E34 M30B35 is 8.69 compression.

The E28 M30B34 is 9.36.

Both 92mm bore.

EHHH!!!!!

my books say 9:1 on the later e34 and e32 engines 211hp.

e28,e24 and e23 ran 10:1 218hp .

except for usa and oz which used the 8:1 for smog stuff 180hp
