Lets drag the tractor and back blade down and finish it off for exclusive track usage rights :)

man, i'd expect the $$ to be drying up!!! There's rd works all over welly at the mo, was down south for some gigs (central area) w'end before last - rd works there. Was just at waiheke on w'end and more works there. Fulton hogan must make some serious coin, only ever seen one or two other major rd companies in the country.

btw who's harold. lol. :)

Hope so. Our Auckland office is doing much of the engineering, surveying and contract supervision. Link

I did alot of work on the site before they broke earth when I was still living in Auckland (Around 2003). Took lots of pictures of the farm when it was still farm so I could go back when it was finished and try and get pics from the same spots for comparison purposes.

I love the fact that I had a hand (however small) in its creation.

I drove past Hampton Downs an hour ago (we only live ten minutes away from the new track) and there were about a dozen earthmoving machines on site. Some were not in use, and were neatly parked in a line. The rest were in use, moving sh!t from one place to another as you'd expect.

FWIW, there's been a lot of earthworks accomplished in the last six weeks from my observation.

E30's? Gee, gonna hafta think about that . . . how about you bring your E9? THAT would fit real nice!

Semi-seriously though, we have 1 1/2 acres, so there's plenty of parking and tentspace if you're interested. Flick me a PM before the event.

Thanks for that. asking was firmly tongue in cheek. Have up dated profile to show E9 gone :( (funded racing).

Still have 2002 though :)

Hopefully there will be grass by Sept so I can pitch my tent or I might be looking for some grass out your way.

Good luck finding some grass suitable for tents surrounding the track, especially in September. That's the rainy season around here, and it's mostly swamp land surrounding the track. . . .another reason not to go off the sweeper before the front straight!

I'm shocked that you could sacrifice the E9 in order to race an E30. That's just wrong! :o
