bravo 35 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) I subscribe to the email newsletter mainly because over the past 3 years I've won on-average, 1 prize a year from the monthly competitions. Prizes I've won have ranged from a rather under-whelming Trademe t-shirt to a rather excellent DVD on Gareth Morgans motorcycle tour across Europe (on BMW motorcycles no less). The rest of the newsletter is usually only worth a very casual read, but this month I had to chuckle. The author has owned BMW's in the past, most recently an e36 m3 which he sold to buy an RX8 ????? Either way, he obviously still has some brand loyalty left: Don't mention the war Since the first boxy e30 screamer, the BMW M3 has rewritten the rules on what a five-seater coupe could achieve. These are hideously quick cars, with enough power to get you into trouble but enough handling to get you out. Worth $180k new, it wasn't long ago you'd pay well over $50k for a good late model e46 M3. Now they are regularly selling around $40k. Here's one in the best M3 colour - phoenix yellow - with a starting price of $35k. A whole lotta car for the money... A Honda with a pulse You have to check most Honda owners to see if they actually have a pulse, with the brand particularly well represented at retirement villages. However a few years ago they gave us the S2000, a little raver with a go-go button (kind of like my first girlfriend actually). A year ago you were lucky to find one for less than $35,000. Today you can pick them up for $20,000, like this 6-speeder in Christchurch. Edited February 24, 2009 by bravo

camera doctor 25 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 I didn't think much of the Peugeot section - If I was Peugeot NZ I'd be pulling any adverts in Fairfax publications! Myself and three friends have Pugs and have had no problems other than normal maintainence, this sort of generalisation is not good for brand image. Bad 'journalism' Mod - right up there with the 'Dog and Lemon Guide'
DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 Pugs are cars that require proper maintanence, if you neglete them they will punish you... You do the regular preventive mainatanence and they will take anything you can throw at them...
