I'd like to hear more about this bulkhead change Dave.

Hartge moved a small part of the bulkhead back to get the engine back another 20mm or so, just behind the head , not a lot really, but enough to make quite a difference to the balance.

Not sure if it has been montioned already. But Rob from Barvarian and Gavin from HiVelocity both have 3.5ltr powered E30's. Gavin is building his to go into the open class too. Rob's one is a fire breathing turbo road car.

Apparently you can just buy engine mounts for this conversion. Can not remember who makes them. But Gavin had some.

Mounts can be purchased from the States, and Germany that I know of, or you can use Alpina mounts, which are what Gavin's got. The aftermarket ones are around $700 to $800, depending on the dollar, and the Alpina ones are $unknown. The other option is to fabricate new mounting points, I'm looking at both at the moment.
