simke 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 Went to see this today and it was absolutely great. Was amazing to see F/A 18 Hornet in action, it was unbelievably loud. Hulme Supercars had a set up a display there, awesome looking car.
Cale 36 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 Was a great day! Glad I took the bike, traffic was awful! The hornet was amazing, specially on afterburners. The 757 and C-17 Globemaster III takeoff climbs were very impressive too!
Antallica 15 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 Wish I was there this weekend, I did live on base last week on a course so watching them practice for the show was awesome
bravo 35 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 What's the story with the Hulme car these days? Its been on display for a couple of years now but we never here about it or see it out doing laps, or for sale etc? Is it a dead project?

The main guy broke down and started crying during a herald interview a couple of months ago.

Andre3000 55 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 Don't you hate it when you find out you missed something like this, i know i do. Very impressive indeed. Iv flown a ct4 trainer in aussie and they're soooooooooo much fun. I attended walsh flying school last year and the red checkers put on a great show. You'd have to have balls of cast iron to do some of the stunts they perform.
QuickSilver 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 We were on our way there, thought we had plenty of time, but the traffic from where we were was SOOOO bad we ended up having to turn around because work would be starting before we even bloody got there! I was pissed off. You probably passed me on the bike Cale hahaha.
Driftit 2078 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 Hulme car was out doing laps at Puke on Friday. You need to be out thrashing your own cars at the track to see these things. I was pretty gutted that the show was on the same weekend as the E30 series final round. And the last big airshow also clashed with a E30 round. As much as I love planes. I love racing cars more. I did manage to catch a city over flight of a P51 chased by a Vampire and a ummmm slips the mind. Another jet anyway. Was sitting at my Dads in the viaduct when they flew over.
