If you're reading this, I made it back to Christchurch with my new E30! Over 10 hours driving... all with no stereo! At one point I went mildly insane and started having conversations between myself and the car.  <_<

It drives like a dream, didn't miss a beat and sounded pornographic snicking into second and flat footing it through the tunnels south of Kaikoura. Noticed a number of things that will need to be looked at, namely the non-existent air con, the noisy tappets, blown bulb behind the OBC and the pop rivet through the aerial to hold it in place!  :o

I can now see why E30's are the most prevalent car on Bimmersport, they're a spectacular car for their age! Didn't take many pics on the drive down, but here's a few. I'll start a new Project thread once I've given it a thorough detail.

Looks very nice Mark. Nice buy!

Should come up great after a detail. If it comes up anything like your e36 did after you gave that a detail then this will look stunning!

Looking forward to your project thread :D

ps. love the wheels!

That's awesome, I just realised it's a PFL without any of the PFL ugliness! Does it have any other tasty ACS bits apart from the kit?

Yeah, a previous owner colour-coded the chrome bumpers and the shadow-lined the window trim too. The bumpers need re-doing and I was given a spare so will have a crack at re-painting them at some point. No other ACS bits AFAIK, although the exhaust screams something fierce at high RPM so I'm guessing it's aftermarket.

Wow looks like a good little car Mark, well done. Have fun with it.

Poor thing won't know what hit it when you go to start it up on a nice frosty chch winters morn :P
