tyres = 11.60/4.30x13" F / 11.60/4.50x13"

rims = 8"wide front - 9"wide rear

212 HP & 9,000 rpm redline ?

weight 890 kg / 1950 lbs

4.109 kg per PS / 2.2 lbs per .98HP - power to weight ratio

cam = Dr. Schrick 324 valve lift 12mm

cam valve opening in degrees 47*BTDC / 39*ATDC & 44*BTDC / 38*ATDC

compression pressure 110kg / 240 pounds ?

SOLEX 45 DDH carbs

oil cap. = 5 liters

100 litre gas tank / 27 Gal.

Borg & Beck clutch

4 or 5-speed gear box depending on course

75% lockup diff

19 mm anti-sway bar

That's a bit slower than I would've thought in a straight line? Given the power/weight

Acceleration or top speed?

Top speed is quite badly affected by crap aerodynamics, with the wide wheel arches making it worse. Mine basically hit a wall at about 170kph with 130hp. It would keep accelerating, but Puke's straight wasn't long enough!

Acceleration probably affected by gearing and peaky nature of engine.

Thats only cause he runs out of straight. lol.

My 325 3 wheels coming through castrol. Have some photos somewhere. 320 doesn't though. Must be due to the 325 having a front and rear sway bar.

Mike has switches on his centre console marked 400hp, 500hp, 600hp and 700hp (actually I remember seeing only 3 switches, but 700hp was the top one I am sure). Assuming they work (and I don't see why not), I have a feeling that overcomes any aerodynamic issues.

Where can I get some of those switch's. I could use some of that HP in the compact

What motor is that? An M10??

Its an M10, albeit a well modified one! It's still 8 valves.

I would agree, a stock E3 3.0Si would achieve very slightly slower 0-60 times (7.5s), and a much higher top speed (132 mph) with the same bhp, and at least 50% more kerb weight.

The only real factors I can see screwing up the acceleration would be a ridiculously high first gear in the C/R box and a camshaft that was all about HP and had little or no usable torque.
