Fixie riders

Recommended Posts

That Ironhorse is nice :D

OP - sorry for the Hi-Jack! Your fixie has come out looking real nice too btw

Edit: Does anyone on here go to the peacockes road dirt jumps in hamilton?

Yeah used to go there a bit ah, some sweet lines through that bush. But most of those jumps were to short and steep for what we were riding, how do you get on(if you go). Used to be a sweet stepdown on the riverside...

The jumps have recently been made bigger so they are abit of fun aye. I get on ok on my little bike cause its got 24inch wheels. It loves the jumps! :D

Gus had the best one for his courier work...from what I remember it was a fixed gear, and had no brakes.

Lunatic!

Thread Dredge!

I have just recently gotten into Cycling, with an old Concord 10-speed, and quickly upgraded to a Trek 1.1 Roadie. Now considering turning the Concord into a fixie, or perhaps just restoring it as-is.

Still need to get some decent pedals, shoes + cleats for the 1.1, but hoping to make Taupo this year, if my cars don't take too much time off me!

(Sorry not entirely on topic, but i did mention Fixies once  )

Wooo Thread DIG! I will post pictures of fixies shortly.. but for now.. Cam, do you have pictures of previously mentioned Bosomworth. I could be very interested in seeing this bike!

The second is an NZ made Bosomworth which is about 20-25 years old. Paint average - I am going to paintstripper it at some stage as it is nickel plated underneath.

My whip and the girlfriends on the wagon. Excuse the shitty instagram image.

They both half fell off when I went quickly around a corner. Needless to say I got rid of zip ties and that stupid basket.

Reminds me of this bike that I built up.

Daylight savings rides are sorely missed, but the night commuting is a whole new level of awesome!
