looking at a daily.. need price advice

i finaly have a job and am ready to start collecting bits for my e30 but this will mean it is off the road for long periods of time.

anyway i went to look at a 318i, 1987 pfl, manual, left hand drive, 280,000km imacualate interior, carb'd, white with good body and dull paint. oil leek from rocker cover and standard suspension with bottle caps.

comes with no warrant and reg on hold.. the car seems all fine to pass a warrant and has new tyres. (not sure if it had power steering forgot to check) hasn't really been driven in 7 months. but he says it runs all right. also the car is not well presented buy him e.g not clean interior or ext.

what do you guys think this car is worth?

I got my 87 320i with an immaculate interior, only 23000kms, 3 months WoF, 6 months Rego, and only a little rust in the door/under the windscreen and a leaky sunroof holding it back for... $1200 hence why i figured a little 318 carbd etc wouldnt be worth much

i like the carb. yeah i got my 320i with genuine bbs kit and 16' bbs rs wheels genuine also for 2k but you just don't see that anymore.

yeah i will sadly admit though.. it was auto and de reged.. but it flew through all that and i manual'd it for 500 and all up re reg cost 500 mainly for replacing the rear drum brakes with discs. but with this 318 i can do any work that it needs myself that is why i am so tempted.. having the steering rack on the left side also leaves a lot of room in the engine bay where i want it.

Are you sure its carbd? My 86 318i was injected...

2 e30s is pretty ambitious, just get a ring ding ding put scooter.

ahh didn't realize i had done that. yeah it is a 316 sorry. but i could easily put a 318 in it.. maybe i should look for a shell and put an engine in it one weekend.. i cant bike... i have trouble getting up for work as it is, if i had to get up half an hour earlier!
