Shady 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 Can somebody tell me what size Allen Key I need to remove the bolts in my front & rear bumpers in my '88 F/L E30? I need to know the size, so I can go buy one from Repco or SCA - or whoever. Thanks Malcolm

Shady 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 So I just need to state that when I go in? Sweet. Any ideas what they charge for it?
Guest FrantiC Report post Posted August 30, 2009 Go find it in the tools, sold as a separate socket. It's like $12.

bravo 35 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 Some use Torx others use Allen. Is yours a hexagonal hole, or star-shaped? If star shaped - you'll need the Torx socket. If hexagonal you'll need the allen one. Pretty sure it's a 12mm Allen, but don't quote me on that.
brockie123 31 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 yup 12mm key.
Shady 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 I think the one on my car is allen, but the mount I am replacing it with is star shaped. Im sure my mate used an allen key ages ago on it, but I just cant remember what size it was. Might just buy one of each...always good to have at least one of everything needed
BenEvans 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 I know i shouldn't of but i used the 12mm Allen for the torx socket before i realized it was different and it worked perfectly.
