bravo 35 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Facebook is performing slower than dialup on my usually lightening quick adsl connection. Anyone else having similar issues over the last couple of days?

Cale 36 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Slow for me also. And sometimes doesn't fully finish loading the page. Grrr!
bravo 35 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Cool, glad it's not just me. Installed a new adsl modem and router yesterday, and was hoping it wasn't causing the issue. Google maps a tad slow too. Bimmersport blazing away as normal, so that's ok. Cheers.

bravo 35 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Same problem. Must be something to do with our ISP and the facebook server. (We just changed ISP's too).
sp8s 1 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Whats facebook
bravo 35 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Which ISP are you slow people with? We've just moved to telstra clear and it seems all of the social networking sites are unuseable - bebo, myspace, facey. None of them load. It's a business connection, and I'm wondering if they are intentionally degrading the service to those sites under some agreement with management. Funny thing is trademe works fine, and if you were going to have a list of sites where service was degraded, surely trademe would be included. BTW we don't have a proxy server before anyone asks. Wervie67 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 so the only fast sites you are getting have a server based in NZ??? (BS, TM). it will definatly be your ISP then. Complain and maybe you can get some credit
bravo 35 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Yeah, but google.com, and other international sites (twitter, realoem, and many others) are fast. So far the issue is with: google maps facebook bebo myspace I'm going to get hold of the person who initiated the ISP change when they are back in the office later today. In a way, I'm glad google maps is on the list as we need this for work, so it'll mean something will happen to fix it.
twisted 45 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 TCL customer here, and i've been experiencing this issue periodically for a couple of weeks with both Facebook and windows Live. I suspect the TCL DNS servers are at fault.
