skidz 197 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 There is a 525ee at Turners in Auckland, damaged front and rear. If you buy for the head, I would like the short block...

325GRANT 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2005 before i go to much further with this can anyone tell me if a 2.7 head will give me lower compression on a 325 block?
Gus 5 Report post Posted January 14, 2005 if your using 325i pistons dont use an 'e' head....they arent matched..not sure bout compression off the top of head
petone 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2005 I'm not sure on this but i thought the 2.5 head was better than the 2.7 and when the 2.5 head is on the 2.7 block it gave you lower compression anyway?

BM WORLD 1286 Report post Posted January 14, 2005 that would be helpful thanks you want a 2.7 block (longer stroke) .2.5 pistons (matches head shape)and a 2.5 head(bigger valves) 2.5 ecu ,manifold etc to get more power ..you might have to machine groves in pistons for valve clearances (depending on which pistons the 2.5 had)
